Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

He is a hack he got lucky with MGS 1.

MGS 1 is the pinnacle of this series and I firmly believe that MGS could have ended with just that one game alone. The ending was just perfect, with Snake victoriously riding off onto the sunset with Meryl, compared to the other games where the conclusions are so anti-climactic and convoluted.

Kojima hasn't been able to replicate anything even close to the caliber of storytelling and gameplay from MGS 1.

Silent Hill was drilled into the ground, and this is following close behind it.

Since I don't wanna go back and read everything I'll just ask, why so much hate for Kojima?

Kojima hasn't been able to replicate anything even close to the caliber of storytelling and gameplay from MGS 1.

This is the reason? I still have to play a few games I missed but I have to agree with that

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The David Hayter incident, disrespect to the English script writers, watering down the games with storylines that recon the previous games. There's a lot :lol.

I love Kojima, but I don't like everything that he has been doing.

You might have missed the interview with Agness Kaku, the MGS2 translator who revealed more than what we'd like to hear: :lol

Anyway, I was playing Twin Snakes and for what it's worth, it was still better than all the fluff we got in Peace Walker. The cinematics were over the top at Kojima's request, not Ryuhei Kitamura.

For the longest time, Twin Snakes may be the black sheep of Metal Gear, but with Peace Walker and MGSV I'm seeing this in a new light. :lol

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear has changed. It's no longer about cutscenes, forced paths or rations. It's an endless series of open world events, experienced by gamers from machines. Metal Gear, and its consumption of RAM, has become a fox engine machine. Metal Gear has changed. Next-gen tagged gamers carry Next-gen tagged graphics, use Next-gen tagged controllers. Regenerating health inside the game simplify and change their outcomes. Health control. Ego control. Difficulty control. Gameplay control. Everything is Realistic, and kept under control. Metal Gear has changed. The age of paths has become the age of exploring. All in the name of increasing satisfaction from developers of mass marketing. And they who controls the industry, controls innovation. Metal Gear has changed. When the industry is under total control, Metal Gear... becomes routine.

:lol

Did you write that yourself?

Personally I think Metal Gear Solid 3 had the best ending of them all. I was place MGS1 second.
