Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

There were plenty of moments that broke my suspension of disbelief in Peace Walker yet in retrospect, that never happened in MPO. Even RAXA was brilliant as a clumsy prototype Metal Gear.

I would pay good money for a HD remaster of MPO and Acid2, that was a great game.

:exactly:

Soon as I heard he Pupa singing I'm like "are you ****ing kidding me." And don't even get me started with the Boss's AI >_>

I wonder if they'll make a return in MGSV. :lol

Quite frankly the only things I really loved in Peace Walker was the relationship between Snake and the horse (reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus) and Cecile as a drunk French.

I forget but was that supposed to be the same horse the Boss owned?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Go back and read just about any page on this thread and you will see.

Oh no... too many spoilers, thats why I asked

MPO deserves more credit to MGS than PW, at least MPO had a somewhat coherent story and actually moved the story forward unlike PW.

And in a nut shell, we are disappointed with MGS V because the story seems like it's going even further down the japanesey hokey rabbit hole that PW had, the technology level should not be where it is in the 70s and 80s even for MGS, and we hate the milking and poor writing and direction of Big Boss's character.

Oh alright I see, but since the story seems to be connected with MGS1 I think it will be ok, maybe I'll think something different once I finish the old games

Well you'll have a clear impression once you play it, it may seem "cool" that the prequels echo the future games... but that's all the prequels seem to be about, ripped off the old game under the guise it's reoccurring history. I call it being out of ideas :lol

Yup. But, apparently, the horse was cloned and is making a return for MGS V :rotfl.

Oh god, how in the **** did that get from southern Russia to South America!? :lol didn't it get bombed by the MIGs?

Yes it is. If I recall she won't take to anyone but Snake. I thought that aspect was well written and it was a powerful moment when Snake had to say goodbye to her.

And then we have many Paz moments in her underwear to ruin the emotional impact the game could have had. :lol

Yeah it was sad for it to be blown up :lol I just couldn't wrap my mind around it being the same horse.

Paz was the worst thing to happen to MGS in recent memory

Man, I love Boston Dynamics. The reason I got into mechanical engineering was to work on robots :lol. I haven't worked on anything that advanced yet, but definitely one of these days.
