Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Like I said, that's totally fine :). But, there's no need to constantly bring it up.

I could say the same with many complains people just keep posting... but I don't.

I don't think I should shut up just because we don't agree :dunno

I wouldn't doubt it. There is a lot of anti-Hayter people on those pages with stuns me. Kojibros everywhere.

Kojibros, Kojiminios flooded facebook, twitter and all those silly sites :lol

In all honestly. mgs forums and gamespot are not like that. I never wrote on youtube or Facebook or anything.

Don't go to facebook, its the damned valley

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

And the No Men are the reason he makes decisions like making Big Boss and Solid the same.

I never said you should :huh :lol. Another thing that gets constantly misunderstood here by a lot of people.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Don't even mention that here.

:rotfl

They're a BUNCH of elitist snobs that think they're aficionados on the ins and outs of the series and Kojima's brain.

I think were versed in MGS as a whole, but that board is the absolute worst. If you happen to draw up a FAQ that's more than 1 page they treat that member like they're god :lol

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

One of us should infiltrate their ranks to get inside information!
I'd volunteer. But I'll need a codename...and a support team... :lol

Legit I think one of my friends is kinda a Kojibro...kind of different from the definition we go by here but might be the same.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

But you did say there is no reason to constantly bring up my opinion :lol

lol?

No I didn't. I said that you don't need to constantly mention "people here hate this game!". I know some of us have a certain amount of vitriol - but there are reasons for that. I'm not trying to shut you up. I'm just explaining that someone who has played these games for years might have a different opinion, as compared to someone who has just started the series - and you need to understand that.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

If you want to know how vile the Kojibros are, go to the Gamefaqs message boards.

What a coincidence, I was just there today after nearly a year of not logging in. The threads there are ridiculous! :lol "Do you think Quiet is Sniper Wolf" "I pity those who don't think this is the best game ever" "Hayter can't act because if he could, he would have voiced all 3 Snakes like the Japanese guy" etc.

I certainly think opinions are opinions but I am kinda curious on how old these cats are. I too have said and done plenty of pretty stupid things in my youth and have indulged in fanboyism (console wars, anyone?) but at at 27 years old I kinda see things in a different light.

Perhaps I've gotten tired of Kojima's treatment towards the series when so many other game designers are just as competent as he is, or perhaps I've gotten wiser with age. I'm betting on the former. :lol

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Because everyone there falls in with the herd. Believe me, the guys here aren't as small as a minority as you would think.

I don’t think so. These days the “cool thing” to do is to go against the grain. I think people are generally excited for this game. Every trailer has blown me away, maybe because I am not as big a fan as you Ryan, and Solidus are I can actually enjoy the series and not nitpick everything. I love the Metal Gear Series but you guys are legit diehard fans. But I don’t know if thats a good or bad thing.

I used to post there a lot years ago, but you cannot post anything with getting slammed by 15 trolls. I think Kojima is pulling up the rear in terms of directing.

Actually... whats the big deal? I mean really... I said the people that complain better don't change their minds when the games comes out because all they said, all the complains would lose credibility imho

you said this

"I do find it annoying when people constantly feel the need to cast aside sincere reactions from dedicated fans simply as "hate" "

and I'm pretty sure I didn't do that :lol I didn't even use the word hate, I was hoping you guys are sincere with all the complains, thats all.

I'm pretty sure its a misunderstanding because all the things you said... I agree

You can't nitpick glaring problems with the series. And no one is saying one fan is bigger than the other, it's all based on opinion. My opinion of the series and Kojima isn't based on just hating it just to hate it.

The PSU MGS forum was my safe haven for posting until I found SSF. I'm like an outspoken minority everywhere else :lol.

I just think some people aren't honest with themselves, and force it on themselves to like something.

Its funny, out of everyone here, I feel like you are the godfather of knowledge when it comes to the series, but you conduct yourself way better than most of us here. I don’t think you have agreed with anything I have said since I have gotten here but you have not once disrespected me or anyone else here. I would be afraid to where a Kojima shirt around some of the other guys here, I fear they might thrown paint on me or something.

Whats the point of doing that with a game, I don’t know any grown man who has time to force himself to like a game.
