Well, it is becoming harder for him to break the fourth wall these days. But, whether he falls in line with predictability or not is still left to be seen. Thinking back, there wasn't really anything surprising about Ground Zeroes, because a lot of the plot was already given away in the trailers. You'd have to be comatose to not figure out that the bald lady was Paz and that she was going to die in the end :lol. Hence, predictability.

He's made some debatable and questionable decisions, depending on your stance, nothing that really puts the franchise to shame, creatively speaking.

That wasn't predictability, because it was intended, in retrospective, there were a couple of reviewers that said the ending was only "shock value", when the ending and pretty much the whole plot of GZ was given away in the trailers, I didn't see anything with shock value-only in the plot itself.

I think people are over-thinking it, like in the Arkham Knight thread where everybody keeps insisting that the Joker is the AK when Rocksteady has said the Joker is dead dead dead :lol

Yup, Kojima has stated plenty of times you only play as one character in this game, and thats Big Boss. He also recently said MGSV will explain how BB becomes a villain. I’m pretty sure the game will have some twists, and retcons, but I think its safe to say we’ll be playing as BB the whole game.

Another gameplay video showing some pretty amazing stuff, I never knew you could disarm an enemy and take their weapon. Also you gotta see the mag used to its full potential

Heres another one of those memes I found

Looks like this MGS meme thing is becoming popular :lol

That is a pretty cool little guide, I didn't know you can knock out guards with a magazine, that sounds was pretty damn funny :lol

Same here, I got caught plenty of times because I had a mag in my hand during reflex mode, thinking I couldn’t do anything with it.

I put in almost 30 hours into the game, and I still don’t know how to steal their weapons. If you know please tell me :slap

Will do, I will keep trying, I think it's probably something along the lines of MGS4, maybe tap R1 once then hold it or something.

I just read that you have to tap R1 and hold L1 right after, I’m going to try it now.

That is highly debatable :lol. But, quite frankly, I don't put anything past Kojima's logic. There was a time when he was actually good at keeping secrets - like in MGS 2, where no one even knew about Raiden until they picked up their copies of the game and were utterly disappointed. But, Kojima has been giving away way too much in his trailers now, and I think some of these oddball theories should be considered if provides cause enough to question some things. In retrospect, you can practically piece together the entire plot of GZ by just looking at the trailers and contemplating on them (albeit the ending with the vag bomb and Chico's tapes which puts things into a grittier perspective). So, maybe there is some credence to be found in these "theories" of a Big Boss doppelganger from the Red Band trailer.

With that said, I'm not actually sure if the trailers themselves were intended to give away as much as they did, or if it was just a slip up on Kojima's part - that he showed too much than he was actually supposed to.

Well, the trailers clearly give away the entirety of GZ's plot, and it's obviously on purpose, it's all there, like you said, the only possible spoiler was the vajayjay bomb :lol

You can piece it together because it's all there.

Back when MGS2 was released, the internet wasn't nearly as active and as information-hungry as it is today.

Proof that he intentionally gave away the very short GZ's plot, is the fact that we have no idea what TPP is about. and there are 3 dozens of theories out there, a very very few of them look coherent, the rest of them are shaped up and pieced together with the most feeble and skewed connections made by the fans.

Well, even the Internet is limited by readily available information. So, not even basement dwellers of the net would have been able to predict Raiden's entrance, because he was such a closely guarded secret. I miss those days. It has also pretty much been established beyond a reasonable doubt, in the TPP trailer that Eli is Liquid. I'm not too certain about some of those theories myself, but if Kojima keeps up this trend, we'll probably have a good idea of the whole plot when the next theatrical trailer hits :lol.

Yeah I miss those days too, now it's crazy, have you seen the Batman vs Superman thread? It's much worse than this one :lol, and that's saying something, people making theories about everything and arguing non-stop about a movie that hasn't even started filming and will be released in 2 years.... TWO friggin' years :gah:

Makes me want to give up on the interwebz :lol

I rarely visit the movie section :lol. I know we've had problems in this thread (and oh, dear Lord, have we had problems). But, that place makes me scared...

I've been nammagazine'd a few times.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

If you think that's bad, you should have had a few convos with Celtic :thud:

I'm proud to say I survived those.

I try to avoid the movie section if I can, or at least particular threads outside of maybe one post. A bunch of failed actors/directors or wannabes in there.

I saw that movie on friday. The rock people ruined it for me and my chick. We stopped caring as soon as that happened. Good thing they sold food and alcohol there otherwise we would have left.
