Media Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes

I'm thinking of buying the new Sideshow 1/4 scale Reeve Superman PF, but I'm not really feeling the pose or the sculpt just yet. Hopefully they fix that.

Get the 1:6 HT (If you haven't already)

That PF is garbage.

I have the complete All Star Superman hardcover and I adored the movie adaptation as well, the ending is totally what TDK Rises should have been.

Also, any casual Superman fans out there, check out the movie Superman Vs. The Elite. We live in a culture where pre-Man of Steell it was cool to hate on Supes and this movie addressed it beautifully.

My favorite part of that story was always when Superman comforts the suicidal girl. Although, Batman still beat him in the touching moment department!



I liked Superman and the Elite, and the "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way,"

up to the point we found out the Elite were previously criminals. Then people could just use the excuse that, "Well they were bad guys, so Superman is still stupid." Of course I disagree!

Yea, idk what Sideshow is doing this days, I’m not happy with how the Keaton PF is shaping up either. I have the HT Reeve figure, but I’m thinking of selling it, I’m transitioning over to the statue game.

The HT Reeve Supes is one of the finest figures you'll ever own, it just brings so much joy. Look forward to it!

It really is. If you have Reeve along with Batman 89 and Nicholson Joker, you've got a perfect DC set-up in your collection.

Well the statues are pretty incredible. Or at least I think they are, from looking at the advertised ones up top!

Yea, they’re highly detailed, and have much more shelf presence than 1/6 figures, but the one thing they have over statues is the paint. HT/Enterbay/Blitzway use the best paint applications right now, Sideshow’s paint just isn’t on par.

Well that's a bummer. I guess you just have to take the bitter with the sweet. I'm sure the paint applications are at least better than my DC Universe Classics Mattel figures!

Do you have any of the Medi MGS 4 figures, by the way? Surprisingly, I find that they complement my Batman figures well (when I had them displayed together) .

I only have 3 PF statues right now, all from video game lines. I don’t know if you’re into God of WAR, but theres a new company that just release called Gaming Heads, they’re making some awesome video game statues right now, their life size Kratos bust looks incredible. I emailed them to see if they had the Metal Gear line, unfortunately they don’t.



I’m hoping they get the Metal Gear license, i’d kill to buy a 1/4 Big Boss or Solid Snake statue.

That's incredible! I loved God of War. GoW2 on Titan mode is one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. Kind of frustrating, but great! I got burned out on pre-quels after Ghost of Sparta, so I never checked out Ascension. "I am what the gods have made me!" It's such an awesome line! If you study Greek Mythology, it gives more motive to take those gods out!

Looks cool, but I have to wonder, since Konami approved of this fan project, does it mean that they don't have their own remakes planned down the pipeline? I was really holding out for those after MGS V.

That's what I was thinking about, since they're doing this with their own time and movie, I doubt the can afford Hayter unless Hayter himself proves to have such a big heart as to do this for free, thing he has done in the past, so it's possible.

Yeah I thought about that too, I hope that's not the case and it's just a fanmade game, I was hoping for an official full overhaul remake.

Agreed, I don’t see remakes happening until they have zero ideas left. I only care to see a Metal Gear 1 and 2 remake, but there are rumors that TTP brings the series full circle which could make MG1 and 2 unnecessary to remake again.

MGS1 is perfect though, I don’t think it needs to be remade.

David's done some pretty generous things for his fans in the past (he even signs games for free - all you have to do is mail them to him). So, for the guys working on this project, they might only have to write to him on Twitter . It would be cool if he's involved in this in some way.

The remakes would have been such a logical step for the next game after MGS V. MGR 2 is definitely coming, though - so I can't complain about that.

Yeah, they just need Konami's permission to avoid legal problems.
