Sure must be, also downloaded it. Will only download it again once it is available in 1080p.

1080p videos rendered with MadVR and FFDshow almost blew my CPU and GPU. Never again for me. :lol

I watched it on my phone :lol.

I still will turn you into an audio/videophile eventually. Just a matter of time before you join the darkside. :vader

You've already been seducing me :(.

On another note, I noticed that there appears to be some inclusion of quick-time events in the gameplay. First, in the scene where Eli fights Big Boss, and then when a soldier attacks him with a knife. There's a bight yellow streak that flashes across the screen when those scenes appear.

OMG IT'S MIKE OLDFIELD!!!

I have quite a few of his albums, and my mom is a huge fan. Who doesn't love Tubular Bells anyway? :yess:

Awesome choice of music, Kojima. I didn't know Oldfield had a new album this year. :clap

C'mon, no Mike Oldfield fans here? :lol

Never heard of him until now :lol. I'm really loving the song, though. What's it called, Ryan?

Wait a sec, he did the song for The Exorcist??! :horror

It's called "Nuclear", it's from his 2014 album Man On the Rocks.

Mike Oldfield does mostly compositions, and I've been a fan of him since I was a kid. Even if you haven't heard of him, you've probably heard some of his work. Surely you know "Tubular Bells" from The Exorcist, Solidus?

Yup! I know that theme :lol.

And I just noticed that the YouTube vid got pulled down. Konami strikes :\

Yeah, that's him.

What do you think of the trailer Solidus? It's no big deal it was taken down, the video quality wasn't that good and it was in Japanese.

I have to say, I wasn't impressed nor disappointed. Skull Face joins BB, new Rex-like mech, Huey getting tortured, Quiet out of a scene of Power Rangers, am I missing anything mega impressive here? :dunno

Yeah, it was underwhelming, hence my sarcasm on the previous page. One thing that I've noticed, is that the MGS V trailers are missing Kojima's classic flair of cryptic intrigue, that would keep you guessing about the games.

And it seems to me, like MGS V doesn't have any sort of special themes aside from "Revenge", "Men become Demons", etc; all of which were already shown in last year's E3 trailer. This new trailer doesn't deliver anything new, aside from the possibility of more spoilers, once everyone starts dissecting the details.

Like when all the ****ing idiots thought that it was Solidus in the original trailers? :rotfl the majority of MGS fans are ****ing morons when it comes to these half-cocked theories. I have yet to see the trailer and I don't feel any drive to.

My favorite theory thus far, is that it's Gray Fox in disguise as Big Boss :slap.

The trailer isn't anything special, but the new song is definitely worth a listen. Well, actually, you don't have to watch the trailer to listen to it. Here it is:

And, people are s**tting on the trailer already :lol. Some comments from Polygon.com:

A 5 minute trailer that tells you nothing about the story OR the gameplay. #NextGen #Believe

Big Boss with a samurai top-knot gets me jazzed but the darker tone is a bit worrying. I understand why Kojima is putting Big Boss through hell but this almost seems to revel in misery in a way that clashes with the over-the-top aspects that have defined the series. They also don’t do themselves any favors concerning the complaints lobbied towards Quiet with how she is presented in the trailer.

Kojima really needs an editor or producer or someone who reels him in. The guy is an out of control mess when it comes to storytelling, and this 5min montage trailer is a perfect example of that. Though maybe that’s part of the charm.

I’m really, really fed up of ‘bleak stories’.

Kotaku is the only other place that has news of this with a comment section right now. But, the users there are a bunch of nonsensical mush heads...

That's reassuring that people can think for themselves and not just follow the herd. MGS V is such a departure to the formula of the series, that it doesn't even feel like it's part of the series whatsoever. And the over the top bleakness that has been previously shown just seems like a ham handed attempt and getting shock factor, like I've always said. Like we get it already, the story is dark blah blah blah. Like you need to be constantly reminded it's DARK :lol

I'm just glad that one of my musical heroes is getting more airtime thanks to this. :yess:

The constant, "in-your-face" attempts to advertise a more "serious" tone is comical, to say the least. I'm not sure if that was intended or not, but you gotta love the irony there :lol.

This might be the first time I've ever gotten annoyed with the marketing for a MGS game.

The over the top darkness only seems worrying with this new trailer, which was underwhelming It may be the most boring MGS e3 trailer ever.

The only interesting questions are, why is Snake with Skull face? Is liquid gonna be a boss fight? And why the heck is REX there, 20 years before it ever gets used??

The even bigger problem, is that it doesn't even seem like Kojima's attempting to make a MGS game. Ground Zeroes was so alien compared to the rest of the series, and it looks like TPP is following suit.

I honestly hope this gets panned by critics and fans when it comes out, for Kojima to go back to basics. I'm still clueless as to why he's gone the way he's gone with the series the last few years.

If the game turns out to be amazing, then fine. But from what I've seen, it will be anything but. As a game, it will more than likely be fun, but as a MGS game I feel it falls short.
