I knew it was completely unrealistic, but I'd prefer if the Patriots were exactly as GW stated them to be. A consciousness that formed in the White House instead of some nondescript, no screen time A.I.s.

My god, the demo is fantastic, the only thing I didn't like was the horse pooping other than that everything looks and sounds amazing.

Thing is, it's impossible to call this Outer Heaven without making any sense. Big Boss has to at some point between 1984 and 1995 (re)earned the trust of the U.S, so much so that he was in charge of the responding to the Outer Heaven crisis in 1995 and that no intelligence community could put two and two together and figure out that Big Boss was behind it all.

UNLESS the "Snake" in MGSV was a decoy all along, perhaps unknowingly played by the U.S, XOF and Big Boss himself. The real Big Boss ends up saving the day, but in actuality he was one who instigated the the events of the game.

Some clues as to why I think Snake is a decoy:

1. He doesn't talk much, nor does he take initiatives or voice his opinions. His mannerisms are different as well.
2. Ocelot kept reminding him his "role" of being a legend, and Snake doesn't verbally respond to any of it despite their history.
3. The POW Snake rescues in GZ was quoting the exact same line Big Boss uttered in PW.
4. Excessive lens flares seems to be hinting on something.
5. "Two phantoms were born" "We are not your kind of people. You seem kind of phoney. Everything's a lie."

I'll be dammed if Big Boss isn't a decoy. It's too good a twist, at least from a writer's standpoint anyway.

In my humble opinion, the chances that this is not Big Boss are remote

We don't know if the US knows Big Boss is alive after the destruction of MSF, we don't know if the Patriots agents are giving their info on him freely... I think conspiracies and lies a la MGS2 are more likely. Its not impossible for him to go Back to the US we actually think the same BB will have to save the day somehow to be welcomed back

Big Boss will start to believe he won with his master plan, and then Solid will ruin his day,

I thought Kojima was against the younger generation? Since there were some claims that Old Snake vs. the beauties in MGS 4 represented himself vs. the new generation Unless he really does make exceptions for Japanese...racist.

I'm suspecting foul play again with Phantom Pain, with Hayter gone and now all the old composers gone.

My guess, at the end of TPP I think Big Boss will save Zero’s ass, and eventually return to the US, from what we know so far Zero isn’t even guilty over the destruction of MSF, so I think Big Boss returns to the US but will still be funding Outer Heaven in secret, lets not forget that BB is not a bum, he should be rich as hell by the end of this game.
