GTAV will be only prettier and fuller on the bald spots, it won't offer anything new to the already tired formula, Kojima shouldn't worry about that.

Yeah, so, almost a full year before release, should be plenty of time to see some improvements, providing the PS4 can handle it.

And judging from other upcoming games that do look better than MGSV, I believe we could see some improvements, I'm a game programming illiterate though :lol so it's just dilettante observation.

I really hope that KojiPro can make some improvements since the game's still in development. But, all things considered, I can take some consolation in knowing that MGS V is at least the prettiest game in the franchise to date :lol.

Uhh.. I think I need a little help. What's the actual size of the trailer? My PC says it's 6.32GB so I managed to copy it on my PS3 via Universal Media Server which took OVER TWO HOURS and the size was a whooping 17GBs! WTF? :rotfl :slap

I tried to copy the trailer onto a blank 12GB memory card and no wonder it didn't worked.

Good question. Unless we have an actual videogame programmer jump in the boards and explain to us we can only speculate. The fact is though, home consoles will always be underpowered. 1080p60fps gaming is still a pipe dream, a lot of tradeoffs have to be done to achieve that.

That being said, Kojima Productions has stated again and again that this is NOT the final code and doesn't necessarily represents how the final product will be. Perhaps there's plenty of room for improvement? We can hope.

The Fox Engine is amazing, no doubts about that. But Kojima might be worried about that pesky GTA game running smoother and selling better than his game. I just fear that MGSV is too over ambitious for it's own good.

Just look at how much GTAV is benefiting from a hardware upgrade. I almost fainted when I saw the traffic density:

I reaaally need to see that in a 60 fps video :lol. But, the grass looks incredibly organic, and the traffic at night - wow is sooo epic, bro.

Yup, and all and all it's above the standards of this new generation.

I'm thinking though, people keep saying this generation already maxed out when it comes to graphics, if that's true that really depresses me.

Your PS3 hard-drive is probably configured for a FAT 32 partition instead of NTFS :lol.

I watched it on my PC and it says it's 6.3 GB too.

Did you copied it on a PS3?

Whaa? That effects the size? No way am I gonna keep a 17GB video on my PS3's HDD!

Can PS3's be configured to NTFS?

It's funny because Ground Zeroes on PS3 is a pathetic 1.8GBs. :slap

Yeah, it affects the size. Files stored on a NTFS hard drive will be much smaller, compared to being stored on a FAT 32 hard drive. From what I do know, the PS3 utilizes FAT 32 architecture, so there's no way of converting your hard drive to NTFS and using it :(. You can pop in a NTFS formatted drive, but the console will reformat it as FAT 32. You're better off saving your large files on your computer.

Nope, don't have one anymore :lol I have my brand new PS4 :yess:

That apparently it's already obsolete :gah:

:lol

I'm a proud member of the PC Master Race. Is sooo epic, man! :monkey3

Crap. Scratch that guys, the video STUTTERS on PS3. :slap

You guys must have powerful PCs to be able to view it on WMP Classic. I know I can't. :crying

I miss Ray :(. He would have been so hyped by the unreal graphics in that 60 fps video. I'm sure it would have been a day one purchase on PC - the way it was meant to be played.

One of my best buds on the forum, it's amazing that I got to meet him in real life for the Peace Walker signing. If you're reading this, come back, Ray! Come back... :crying

Not sure if this has been post yet (as it's 3 months old) but here it is

Here are few interesting quotes

“I am too creative and that hurts when it comes to tying these stories together,” said Kojima, “I was always held back by the canon when I was writing for The Phantom Pain. Only in the latter parts of development did I stop caring and merely wrote what I really wanted to express. I could not remember the last time I did that but it felt good. Unfortunately, this will require some changes to every Metal Gear game that comes after it.”

Has he ever considered that it might be the time to move on?

He then drew a flowchart that explained the butterfly effect The Phantom Pain had on the rest of the series. He spent around 45 minutes showing that by simply giving Huey the ability to walk, he drastically altered Otacon’s future where he is no longer weak and becomes an extremely confident man who hates walking in his father’s shadow. In turn, this will make Otacon one of the biggest villains in Metal Gear Solid when he joins FOXHOUND. Liquid also lives.

By the end of the flowchart, Kojima had effectively written out any chance of Metal Gear Rising being part of the canon and had created an entirely different Metal Gear Solid 4 where Solid Snake is dead and Big Boss is the protagonist. Kojima reiterated that this is only a hypothetical but to expect changes as big as this if he were to remake the series.

So.... errr, I'm at a loss for words.
