Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes

Hot toys MGSV figures will probably be the last of what I buy from them

Makes me wonder if Koji is truly removed from anything MGS related, would Konami go to Hot Toys and propose figures from the older games?

I think it's pretty apparent that Koji made the decision to go with MGS3 as the first set of figures, and not Konami. I couldn't say who chose to go with Raiden though, since that wasn't Koji's project exactly.

I understand going with TPP as the next set, but it would be silly to ignore all the good figures they could make from the previous games. It's just a shame that the VGM line gets ignored and comes out very sparingly. Resident Evil is the only line they do from games that they complete.

I think Raiden was made due to a poll HT put out on which character would fans like to see next. At the time I think MGS4 Raiden was in the lead but they probably decided to do the Rising version since it was the latest entry in the series.

Oh yeah I had forgotten about that. I hope they do another soon. We'll probably looking at TPP place holder cards for the next few years I gather.

Also I'm sure that's why HT wanted to make the 3DS Snake Eater figures

It took them too long to make Ada but yeah, they didn't make MGS but they made those Amazing Spider Man figures that no one bought, obviously.

I don't know how that works

Konami is getting no different than Crapcom.

I wouldn't say that Konami is there yet, but they're certainly headed that way. The only blockbuster franchise that they have is MGS. So, in order for their company to succeed, this franchise needs to succeed :rotfl. Which it most certainly will... Provided that they don't somehow manage to screw up the release for MGS V.

Figured I'd pop in and quote these two posts. It's a bit startling how things have turned out since our discussions from 2013.

I'm just wondering what's up with MGS V, and if Kojima will still play a relevant role in promoting the game.

Man, 2013, I went back and read a couple posts, we were so young and naive :lol

Well, the official Silent Hill facebook page was active today, they were promoting the PT demo, I hope that's sign of Silent Hills still being in development with Kojima and del Toro.

Yeah, those were the days :lol.

I wasn't aware that the site was back up. If KojiPro's logo is anywhere to be found in the promotions, then I'm sure that Kojima's still involved. This entire situation is just too strange. Kojima hasn't even Tweeted daily pics of his lunch in weeks, and that's cause for concern (no sarcasm).

Funny how I was right :lol
