It seems like **** was going down for a very long time, and Kojima was actually prepared for everything. I used to think he was on an ego trip with all of the Kojima Station cameos and completely nerfing the Internet with selfies. But, I guess he just wanted to market the hell out of the game, in case Konami flushed him and KojiPro at the drop of a dime.

It's kind of surreal that he's gone from Konami now, and we won't see him back for anything official in this game. No signings, promotions, nothing. The legacy of MGS ends here.
