My WL conversion for the exclusive came last night. :yess: Thank goodness I didn't cancel for the regular.
Congratulations... Now all we need is some new photos of this, keep everyone's interest with all of the AoU stuff going on!

Don't like to admit it but my interest in this figure was dipped a couple of times recently.

Very nice :clap

Congrats man! :clap SSC and their cancelled WL traps :lol

Thanks, gents. :duff

It's still a much-anticipated figure, but it's been pushed to the back burner a bit by the 1/6 and 1/4 Mark XLIII and the HB.

I haven't decided what I wanna do about this figure. I only want one Iron Man in my collection and that Mk 43 is a nice looking figure too. Only problem is the NRD on this. I've got the ex on PO but I don't care a whole lot about that.

As soon as Stealth Cap makes it in all I'll need is an IM.

Yeah, I'm not gonna be hasty in my preordering again. Not really a point to it. I can just wait til there's free shipping and 20 buck promo code eligible.

Will SS transfer the NRD on a figure towards another purchase?

I believe SSC will do that only once.

Are you a bigger fan of this armor or the XLIII? This likely won't articulate as well as the other, if that's important to you.

I suspect we wont see the 45 until we go see the movie.......but
Only 3 1/2 months to go :panic:

Sorry if it was already stated before, but was it confirmed that there would be no/limited abdominal articulation or was that just speculation?

They didn't actually say anything, but look at the photos. Add to that the original mark 3 had no ab articulation and it's a safe bet.

Gotcha. Thanks. Well that's a bummer. I was choosing between this and the 43. If the 45 doesn't make me pull the trigger then the 43 will be my definitive IM

well most of my stuff i have in rather basic poses so limited movement in the ab area isn't that bad. It will still have plenty of posing ability.

its is bad, especially when this is supposed to be an update and theyre charging the amount of money they are. Not saying youre wrong for liking it, but thats why a few of us arent having it. the only reason for no abs is the feature to remove the plates, which is dumb, but thats just me

wow cant believe how much people are getting so excited for a mk42 repaint, no love for the mk3 :dunno

I'm eagerly awaiting both of them!

I think the 43 is so popular because (as has been said before) the 42 was pathetic in IM3 and the colour scheme is/was unpopular. I know the 42 figure was great aside from the shoulder issues and I think a lot of people couldn't justify picking it up when they hated the 42 on-screen (I'm one of them). The 43 gives those people a reason to pick up a version of that great figure that they actually like because a) the colours are better, and b) the suit will not just be a crap comedy sidekick in a bad, buddy cop Christmas movie.

Agreed with Lipsmack. Hahaha well said, Chrono

Yea this won't be that big of an issue for people who like more museum poses :D
But I've really grown used to poses that use that abdominal articulation, especially on suits that let you extend the stomach and get better movement.

This makes me think though...
I don't wanna open a can of worms but what exactly is the point of the diecast line? Finer detail and better likeness? It's pretty hard to tell a plastic IM from a DC one without holding and feeling them. Better articulation? Maybe. But plastic suits like the Starboost show that the articulation introduced with the DC figures CAN be implemented in them to give much better movement.
I'm not saying it's pointless though, I like my warmachine 2.0. It just interests me. What are your thoughts?
