Agreed with Lipsmack. Hahaha well said, Chrono

Yea this won't be that big of an issue for people who like more museum poses :D
But I've really grown used to poses that use that abdominal articulation, especially on suits that let you extend the stomach and get better movement.

This makes me think though...
I don't wanna open a can of worms but what exactly is the point of the diecast line? Finer detail and better likeness? It's pretty hard to tell a plastic IM from a DC one without holding and feeling them. Better articulation? Maybe. But plastic suits like the Starboost show that the articulation introduced with the DC figures CAN be implemented in them to give much better movement.
I'm not saying it's pointless though, I like my warmachine 2.0. It just interests me. What are your thoughts?

Starboost is plastic and has all the same POA as the 42 (skirt, shoulders etc..) so there really is no point other than weight. as for the ab articulation, mk 3 needs it so I can pose him crashing down in the middle east (most bad ass IM moment ever)

To crush Play Imaginative, see them driven before Howard and hear the lamentations of their women.

Ohhhhhhhh man.
There are times where I feel bad for that company

:exactly: Totally agree with LipSmack, when you look at these guys next to each other you can't see a difference in overall detail either way and yes that scene is awesome! :rock

I like the added weight of the diecast and it just seems to balance the figures better. The only figures I can pose properly on a shelf without a stand and without worrying that they will fall, are the diecast ones (I may just suck at balancing my plastic figs though :slap:dunno).

wow cant believe how much people are getting so excited for a mk42 repaint, no love for the mk3 :dunno
I'm excited for and getting both (even though my budget should say just get one of them so I can pick up Cap and Hawkeye), I am buying them for completely different reasons.

The only spanner would be the reveal of a DC Mark 6 as then the Iron Man collection will be getting out of control neglecting other characters from the MCU as well as other franchises so at that point one of the (by then) 4 Iron Men will probably have to go (at the least)

I'm assembling my own non-screen accurate line up... Light armor Thor, Wolverine, Hulk, ASM, and Stealth Cap whenever he comes in. Mk 3 is the "classic" armor that comes to mind but I'm starting to think Mk 43 will look better next to Thor and Cap. At $350 a piece I'm only getting one IM so I'm thinking of trying to transfer the NRD to the 43.

I'm also torn, for the first time, between mk3 and this for my iron man.

Mk3 has always been my fave and classic. But loving this also now.

Do you mean your original and this new die cast version? I never had the original, but I got to say after having IP and 42 in the collection, the feel of the die cast version is amazing. Definitely looks and feels more like a suit of armor to me.

Your going to get grief for that one. lol ;) I prefer the diecast figures myself but not sure why from a visual aspect, I do like that they've made at least part of a metal suit out of metal though. :)

Sorry just realised my post made no sense! :lol

Thought I was in the mk43 thread. I am torn between that and this. This always being my fave and classic.

^ same here man.
A couple months ago I had it in my head that DC Mk 3 would be the be all end all suit for me and that it being the most iconic armor would be enough to be my definitive iron man (and maybe enough to get me out of IM (haha....). But after the whole potential lack/limited ab articulation and liking the 43 more and more, I don't feel the same anymore. Like a few others, I'm just waiting to see how 45 looks. It'll most likely come down to between the 43 and 45 now.
I may be interested again if they decide to use the diecast mark 3 mold to make a mark 2 or battle damaged mark 3, as long as improvements are made (namely articulation).

Here's still hoping for Diecast 2-7 ;)
