I meant the figures he brought up. Every iteration of black widow has been unique. The fact that wonder soldier and AoU have similar face sculpts doesn't count; the costumes are unique. Same with Hawkeye. Same with capt America.

I'm almost certain to be wrong but I thought that the WS and AoU Widow sculpts were identical?

If you're limiting it to those he mentioned yeah, though the Cap sculpts are identical aren't they? I can't recall.

You're missing the point. While they very well maybe, the figures are not repetitions of each other (aka repaint). So are most of tony Starks' head sculpts. Doesn't make the figures "repaints".

Duplicative maybe but they're not the same figure.

To expand a bit further, the AoU black widow and the winter soldier black widow have same head sculpt but uniforms are entirely different. The winter soldier cap and AoU cap are on the same boat; perhaps less so because the paint application on the head sculpts (both masked and unmasked) are different from each other; hair is lighter on the AoU version and the masked AoU has silver accents painted vs the more plain stealth version of the WS.

Most of the head sculpts we've gotten with iron man suits in the past couple years have been the same even though suits are completely different. It would be a long reach to call the mk43 and the silver centurion repaints just because the have the same face sculpt.

That's kind of what I'm saying.

I already stated if you're limiting it to those figures, then yeah. Your initial comment wasn't clear.

And who's comparing Mk 43 to Centurion? :huh

43 is a repaint of the 42 for a vast majority of the figure, the hip is the only difference. Break that figure down into individual parts and 99% of them are identically repainted. Midas is a 100% repaint of the original Mk 7. :lol

I love repaints, makes it easy to mix and match parts, am I the only one who threw mark 42 gloves/wristguards on 43?

Your act of being over qualified and more knowledgeable than anyone else here is old. Stick it in storage for life, thanks. :duff

I have been collecting this stuff for 40 years. I made more money in the early 90s selling collectable cards and actions figures then Uncle Sam paid me to be a Marine.

I'm not acting over qualified or more knowledgeable. However I have been around this stuff and have heard these arguments for the past 25 years so I think I am at least qualified enough to enlighten people on it's origins.

You're missing the point.

He always does.

I don't know if it's intentional, to create drama, or just a lack of verbally comprehension.

Wow what a pic.

Im so tempted to sell my 43 to pick this up, loving the old school look.

Very cool pic, can't wait for this...I just got a Mark 42, now I'm on the hunt for a reasonably priced 43 and I've got one payment left on the Mark 3 when it finally arrives.
