C'mon... seriously. This picture right here sums up this figure. Ridiculous.
I saw that pic. I don't care for it since all the Armors are the same height. Like you said it's perception. I'm upset it's not in scale.
As you can see in this photo the Mark 3 and Mark 4 are the same height, I don't remember anyone commenting on how short the Mark 4 is.
It's all matter of perspective
I don't know why you are so upset over a $300 doll.
This isn't some rare collectable recreated my master artisans in limited numbers. It's a mass produced action figure that is LIGHT YEARS ahead of what used to be cutting edge.
I'd love to see those side by side or the new diecast with the old MkIII.
By the way are we sure the legs and waist aren't extended on the War Machine figure? If so, that would throw off the height difference a lot.
looks like the same height as the previous versions, I suspect some of the pics of the MkIII with newer IM figures like War Machine and Mk43 have their torso's and legs extended and thus exaggerating the actual difference.
All these pictures are showing the good and bad about this figure. The shoulders gaps don't bother me as people have been able to hid them with the shoulder pads. The ab and waist articulation being zero is an annoyance, but still not a deal breaker for me. However these ,ore recent pictures of him with other more recent avengers is killing my excitement to get this figure
I'm ment to pay the last payment weeks end and should have the fugure next week, but now I don't know. The hieght really is gonna bug the crap outta me! I only want one classic looking Iron man and I was sure this was gonna be it, now I'm bummed out.
Dose anyone know if the Mark VI looks short next to newer avengers figures or dose it scale in better? Was going to buy that armour before I ordered the mark III.
If it's the same height as the BD I'll stop complaining, I always thought the BD was the in scale with the original 7. I need to see it in person tho, these pics make me feel like there some distortion going on.
It is the same scale as every mark III previously made I measured last night.
There is no distortion. It's exactly as short as it looks in the pics I posted. If you have Coulson, add a fourth of an inch and there you go.If it's the same height as the BD I'll stop complaining, I always thought the BD was the in scale with the original 7. that's so weird
Now he is at least .5 inches shorter than the Mark iv and VI, checked them last night. But then again so is the Mark II.
I'm just gonna go out and say all mark 2's and 3's are out of scale

Like folks have been saying, depends on how you want to display him. By himself or in a weapons stance would work, but in a lineup with other Avengers he looks tiny. There is a difference in size and yes it is immediately noticeable. Such a fantastic looking figure but a few months from now I don't know if I could look at the shelf and be satisfied with how small he looks. Makes me hope the 43 lasts until Spook and gets a discount.
That is your right to do so.

I got the Mark 6. I can take a couple comparison pics next to Avengers and AoU Cap and Widow
