POed this guy last night. I don't own an Iron Man figure yet and I've been looking for one with the circle arc reactor rather than the triangle one for a while to no avail. My favorite suit from my favorite Iron Man movie. Couldn't pass it up!

I remember back when they showed the mk 6 people were going on about the circle reactor being phased out etc... now the mk 6 is one of the only ones with it :lol

You're not alone bro! You could just imagine the excitement in me upon seeing the proto pics for this.

Ultimate is probably way more likely to be seen then Extremis as a lot of the MCU is based on ultimates designs/backstories..

The thing about Extremis is they made it an actual armor plated suit (like what the movie went for) so it could easily be pulled off... just need a director ballsy enough to do it

Here is hoping they do both!

Have u seen the art books? Any of those alternate designs ones you prefer?

I do see how hard it is to create these suits in 3d. And make them look right. I'm building a full Mk vi suit and HOA 1:1 display for my toy room. I'd like to build all the armors. Though some I know I'll never do. Like igor. And I've got a lot of 1/5 or 1/6 scale custom sculptures I've done. So I've got a ton of respect for the HT artists. The detail and crisp lines they pull off is amazing to me.

You start off with just one and then it grows...and then they wrap themselves around the cerebral cortex. This has the effect of rendering the collector extremely susceptible to IM purchase suggestion. Later as the IM collection grow follows madness, insanity and bankcruptcy...

Nobody got my Star Trek II ref?
*sob*

I've got most the art books if you ever want any info or photos from them. I love seeing the design process and art. They are very neat books. I don't recall the last suit you posted from the books. Could be I'm just am idiot. Seems to be the general opinion anyway. Lol but I do like that armor. Kinda tron meets iron man. But better.

Cool man, Yankee posted above that its a suit from the comics, still looks great though

And agreed the art books are great, but make me sad sometimes too that certain designs dont make the cut

True. There's probably a hundred unused suits over the three films art books, plus avengers. But I still enjoy the books. I buy all the art of books I can find. From movies and even video games. I like the pictures. Lol

Got four or five coming this week actually. I also been buying auction catalogs for Hollywood memorabilia. Get more photos of props. I can't get enough. Plus they make great reference for my sculpts and projects.

I can't wait to get this figure. The more I see it the more I like it. It's not perfect. But what is. Lol
