Purely speculation as of now. Some think this will be Hot Toy's last diecast Iron Man. I think it's only the beginning.

Assuming they were to stop making die cast the Mark 43 would likely be the last seeming its 99% the Mark 42 (leaving a 1% for any minor changes, if any, other than the paint). I agree with you however, I doubt we will see every IM in die cast, but I think we will see models made that way either historic or future 'primary' suits.

I can definitely see the first seven Mark armors in diecast. I also think Hot Toys will do, or at least try to do, all of the House Party Protocol armors, but all of those will likely be in plastic.

I can see Mark 43 in diecast, as well as select armors in the future. Hulkbuster will almost assuredly be in plastic, probably at $625 to $650. A $750 to $800 diecast version would be pure insanity.

sounds right

Hard to believe they'll have more diecast re-releases up their sleeve though, considering BBTS hasn't even sold out of this yet. I guess still early but it's not flying off the shelves as fast as some of HT's more popular releases. If they do decide to milk the Mk3 diecast mold one last time for a BD, it'll likely be before July 2015. So for those waiting for a BD Mk3 diecast, might as well PO a Mk3 with no NRD and wait the next 6 months to see.

Its a tough pill for most. $310 with less accessories and articulation then the 42 (same price and not sold out either) ... doesn't jive

Sideshow and BBTS and the others may have also had a higher initial number for this figure. Compared to the Marty McFly which was likely lower and "sold out" the first day.

I think the Mark XLII is still up for preorder? I don't know if it's because Iron Man 3 was considered the worst of the three films, fears over broken shoulders or the price. In any case, it's all guesswork.

Mark XLII was a POS in the film. Why would anyone want an Ironman suit that ripped apart on contact. Tony should have named it the Mark 42 codename Tin Can. Ironman suits are supposed to be strong not cheap plastic covered in alloy material

price I would say, you just know that the NRD killed a good portion of their sales on both this and the 42

holy crap....so tempted to order this amazing piece.....i cant go down this road tho....i dont have the money to add another leg to my collecting arsenal. Batman, Superman are my only comic book characters I collect. Once you get bit by the IM bug there is no coming around. Cheers to those who get this, "she's a beaut Clark!"
