So I ordered this figure from BBTS a while ago but I haven't paid a lot of attention to this thread yet.

It seems like there are a lot of quality control issues here although the figure looks very cool.

I never bought the V1 batman and don't own any 1/6 batman, and I was really hoping that this was the figure I have been waiting for.

Is it or should I actually consider canceling my preorder of this figure?

Your order from BBTS will be coming from the third batch (as I believe BBTS gets their DC figs from DC Direct) and all the problems should be worked out by then.

I've managed to order from DCBS for under $140 by e-mailing them... the problem is, I can't enter my payment information on their site! Anyone have this problem?

Yep, Eddie pretty much nailed the real reason. I think the new Terminator licenses also played a role too. I also think after seeing what Crow did with his V1 I see no need to spend another $220+ on an improved piece. I do want to replace my V1 head though. I feel no regrets either.

Begins Costume is all I need on my shelf.

One thing I learned with Sideshow's Darth Vader, sometimes a head can look really out of proportion to the body in photos the way the camera interprets it, but the human eye's perception doesn't pick up on it. In a lot of photos the Vader head can look really puny to the body, but to my own eye, I never see it look like the photos depict it.

Photos can make things look really good or really bad, but they can't mimic the human eye experience, a lens and an eye, sadly, just don't work the same.

If ask me, what that picture shows, is that the Medicom body is the worst looking of the three on show.

I actually think the legs are far far superior on the Medi than the HTTDKV1, just overall, it smashes the V1 out of the park IMHO, being someone who owned both at a point in time and was so disgusted by the V1 once I got the Medi that I sold it!

Based on what happened with the Joker DX, i think i'll wait till Amazon has it. they had a really good price on joker, free shipping and they didnt even have it up for preorder till the dcd shipment so batman is guaranteed batch 3 through them.

Those are some very nice pictures! I hope mine looks that good when it comes; sadly, Beijing is looking to be more of a mid-February/early March delivery with the way things are going

I think as long as you can still cancel your order when you finally see some confirmed reports on the second wave of the roll out you might as well hold your spot.
It did surprise me that the DX01 is still readily available and hence prices are still relatively low which does lead me to believe that the volume produced for it is quite high. If that is the case and same goes for DX02 I suspect there is no harm canceling it if your price is not the greatest. Again I do not have much of a choice up here as most of the lower cost options will end up being the same price as Toys2 anyways so I might as well stay with them. Besides I do need to get it sooner rather than later to still be able to sell the extra heads at a reasonable price

Has anyone broken the PERS for the Batman yet? I know people have broken the Joker PERS so I plan to get 8 more spare PERS Joker heads in case I ever break mine on accident, I'm gentle with it but it still is a little hard to move and I fear it may break unexpectedly. If anyone's broken their PERS Batman head, I know I'll have to get spares.

Don't you think it would just be easier to buy one extra head and be really careful with the one you have? I mean, just don't go crazy with the PERS (put the eyes in a good spot and then leave it alone). Otherwise, you may be just going hog-wild with cash for no real reason. If the eyes are sensitive then I would just note that as a problem and keep only an extra one; otherwise, you're liable to break all eight if you buy that many.

No reports yet of broken PERS with Batman.

Just out of curiousity, if you just take things out to make sure all is ok, what need is there for spare heads for breakage. The PERS isn't going to break without you using it, if you check it out and all is fine and put it back, it's going to stay the way it was when you got it.

Couldn't have said better myself. Obviosuly I was joking about owning 8 more spares however anything important and most likely to break, i get a spare of.
