Yes on both accounts.

Actually its not a detolf. Its a local brand in my country that knock off ikea stuffs, however the retail price is $220 each :(

$220 for a Detolf knockoff :lol

Where are you located again?

Oh 50% is better for sure! $110 is much better!
yeah $70-80 here in Canada + 13% Taxes :( so we are paying possible bout the same.
Heck you need to pay more for furniture cause you are also paying a lot less for figures I think? Oh and get them faster :p

Not really, I got them from ebay, thats why I get em faster. Local dealers dont have whiplash yet. Heck, they dont even have MJ bad yet :monkey1

I thought all of Asia get the shipment right after TH... though I do think that Whiplash somehow broke any of the regular pattern

most of asia, with the exception of indonesia I think :dunno

whiplash's release was kinda weird, like XL shop in malaysia got their stock the next day, same with some china sellers on ebay.

I think HT is trying to cut the middleman (ebay HK sellers) by shipping these early and releasing it at the same time with TH releases.

just got whiplash... not so happy
extremely detailed and realistic. looks awesome, however.

mobility is extremely bad. if you try to move the arms to the side it falls off due to the design style of the arm.
it suffers from the rubber body design similar to wolverine where by if you touch it you ruin it.
lighting features suck. warning not to leave the battery in the compartment whilst it is not being used...
the light is dull and has a urine color to it...
also the lights on his back do not even pass all the way through.

over all im pretty happy with it, just was not expecting so much disappointment.
I really hope that this is not the new lighting method for iron man because it sucks.

You do know that's accurate, yes?

Received my Whiplash today, and I have to say - I'm impressed. The detailing on his exoskeleton, and the way it moves with him, is just staggering. The sculpt is fantastic, and mobility is way better than i was expecting. His torso has more flexibility than any other HT figure I own. Ankles are a bit wobbly so posing him without his stand is a bit risky. The 'flashes' on his whips actually look good; I thought they looked cheap and rubbishy in the promo photos, but they actually work really well. Overall I'm blown away by this figure. Awesome.

^^^Is the light really as bad as stated above?

tbh I haven't put the battery in yet. The instructions advise that you take it out when not in use as it drains down quickly; the screw is so small and fiddly to open the battery compartment that it would just get frustrating to keep putting it in and out. I am therefore waiting until i have my setup complete before i put the battery in. I've seen shots of the figure lit up and, while it's not as bright as the IM lights, it's certainly effective.

As for the light travelling through the tubes, this was never going to be achievable at a reasonable cost. One option would be to invest in that film you can use to improve light dispersal in replica lightsaber blades, though fitting this would be a very fiddly operation
