Just curious who came up with the idea to bleach them and it so happens to be they turn orange? I'm assuming this was intentional by hot toys and so they hinted to the fans this?

It was this guy.

Hi all, new member here.

I managed to change the colour of the pants to orange with ordinary household bleach (White King bleach for those in Australia). No dye required. I let the pants sit in the bleach for about 2-3 mins then rinsed with water. Presto! Orange pants. The burnt areas evens stayed black/brown but did fade slightly so I just touched it up with my airbrush.

The bleach job did it's thing. I might redo the charges on the whips to get them to look a little better, and the ankles are a bit loose, but overall I'm quite happy with out the figure turned out. :yess:

Now where's my War Machine?! :impatient:

Now to think of it and him being new on the board maybe he is an undercover HT staff using this forum to pass this sweet little secret to us? :lol
:borg:

I don't know about Biojex:lol ..but there would definitely have to be a few on here.

Thought I could use this body for McClane if it would fit into a pair of Dent pants.

I've given up on trying to get a Comedian body.

Ah yes. I remember you've been working on that McClane for a while now. The body tattoos are what made me think something else. I'm pretty simple when it comes to problems like that so for me this body is only good for about three things.

1) Casual Whiplash/ Dr. Ivan Vanko custom
2) Tool from the Expendables custom
3) A generic biker/tough guy custom

:lol

Not the best picture taker, but wanted to document another successful bleach job! I used the 1.5 cups bleach to 1 cup water mixture. Soaked it for about 20 seconds, then rinse and blow dry. Very pleased with the end result. Not only do the burn marks still look great, but the costume also has a somewhat dirty look to it. I don't know if that is subtle weathering done by HT, or if it is a touch of brown that didn't bleach out. Either way, it looks fantastic. :)

I really want to bleach the colour on the trousers of my Whiplash now everyone else is doing it. I've never modded figures before in my life and I'm scared I'll ruin it.

Any tips on which bleach to use? I live in the UK so I can't use any American makes.
