Can someone explain to me why people are using the crotch stand with this figure? Are you really worried this guy will fall over? He's rock solid!

With a rambunctious 17 month old in the house...crotch stands have saved many a figure of mine from doing a face plant. He has learned already that if he hits a detolf hard enough in the right spot, it will swing open. He hasn't figured out the right spot though, so its just SMASH SMASH SMASH!

Just took mine out of the box and the left forearm is split, so the hand peg is loose. DAMN!!!

I am sure it will, but I think a replacement is in order. Sent email to Sideshow. This will only get worse and we shouldn't have to fix an item that is new. I might be picky, but $200+ for a figure isn't chump-change.

How does the rest of the figure look? anything cooked? snags?.. think how crappy it'll be if your replacement looks worse that what you have now. The split forearm is an unseen blemish that can be corrected.

I've never bought a Hot Toys figure before, but I am really wanting this one. Would this be a good first Hot Toys figure for me?

To be honest, I feel like this is the pinnacle of all Christopher Reeves Superman collectible of all ages unless you can get one of those awesome 1:1 scale wax statues.

Actually, I'm not sure if leaving him on the stand is that great. I don't really feel too comfortable with the clamp making indentations on the body/suit fabric.
