Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

See, I too can make derogatory/baiting comments and use smilies to 'pass them off' as jokes. Its only that your ethics... no Id rather blame the declining board decorum as the reason to the tone of your posts...

Ophthalmology might work for me to jump into the majority bandwagon (but I doubt it... as I think it has more to do with my independent perception and choices, than anything ocular), but maybe you need your parents all over again to teach you some basic courtesy that you missed out while you were in your infancy... or a counselor, or maybe even a well educated child could set an example for you...

Relax, I'm just kidding! :slap

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

The Hot Toys CR Superman was the figure that brought me back into 1/6th collecting. IMO, it is the best figure of the man of steel to date.

Agreed! The likeness is incredible! :exactly:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Wow...I think the big problem here is that people take this stuff too seriously...who cares is some random person on a doll forum (yes, these are dolls) disagrees with you...really does it bother that much? I think that sculpt looks ridiculous and the HT one looks amazing..but its my opinion...if you are happy with what you have..awesome..people will always want to disagree.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Personally, I think that both are good sculpts, but, to me, Sosa's is a bit too tense; it almost looks like Supes has a mouth full of chewing tobacco. The likeness is there, but the lower half of the mouth seems a bit too exaggerated, almost to the point of being stylized. That's just my opinion, though. Congrats, though, axe, it's a fine hs with a damn good paintjob. I like the HT better, but I agree 110 % with the sentiment about Kim's 1/4th Reeve; would love to see some company make an official release of something like that a reality.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Kim should sell the 1/4 sculpt to EB so they can make a 99% accurate (nothing will ever be 100% IMO) 1/4 reeve. I bet they'd get the stitching right for the both "s" shields cape and chest.

Haha, it definitely was the highlight of that stellar season for Messi (other than the 5-0 drubbing of Real Madrid), he scored another hattrick to save the team tonight, and rushed back to the hospital labor room to celebrate becoming a dad!

1/4 Enterbay Stuff is like hot property... every release is looking good... I finally got in the EB Batman and Joker yesterday and set them up... yes there were QC issues like 'nglued loose magnets' and magnetic parts of the belt being very weak and them coming off with a sligh touch. But MAN are they so impressive on display.
The EB Joker too looks pretty good... some angles spon on heath... front on, something looks off but nitpicking likeness aside...

Just sooo impressive on Display.
EB should make a 1:4 Superman... they are using the HD line to release icons... A CR Superman is as iconic as you can get. (Still the best live action Superman ever...)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I just want a 1/4 scale Reeve. May the best company win.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I finally bought one earlier this week and it arrived yesterday. Still haven't opened it up, but I'm really looking forward to it later today.

I'm amazed how easily I was able to find a new one at retail price.

Opened him up earlier, and I remembered that I had some pretty cool gunshot effect pieces from another figure. Suddenly, I knew exactly how I wanted to display him. One quick shot:

I really love the figure, and I'm not really sure why I waited this long to get him, but now I have. The FoS base is kinda garbage, though.

I really like this, for a number of reasons: I own one, it's a very good likeness, it fits/matches the HT body well (especially when painted properly), and if Arnie Kim had never sculpted a head for Hot Toys, this one would be considered the closest (I would think). I have a few problems with it, though: the hair is a tad long in the back, the spit curl looks too big to me, and the cheek bones are a little too defined.

Arnie's likeness is superior to Erick's, but I respect both artists' efforts.

So, congrats on the figure.:hi5:

Out of curiosity, what did you do with the HT head? Willing to part with it perhaps?:)

Love this shot and set up, Plas.

Thanks, I always wanted the only Superman figure to be that of Reeve in the costume, and thanks to Erick, and Nathan and Hot Toys, I have him (although Im still hoping Tony can make me a one off movie accurate blue catsuit)
The HT head and all other accessories like that kryptonite chain and extra palms are lying safely in my parts box. I already got rid of the base and crytals (gave them away to a friend to expans his existing Superman Display)

Thanks for the comments, guys. :hi5:

Hey Butters, the bullet ricochet pieces are from Revoltech's Lupin the 3rd figure.
