cool mate, so ur goin with the mattel suit and ur own custom belt and gizmos etc? yeah if u get some side by side shots that be swell!!

and yeh b carefull when u dye it, is it way off the movie colour do you think? afew ppl said its alittle lighter then it shud be.

I personally think the suit isn't all that bad. I like the smaller zippers as opposed to dragons king kong sized ones. Its not dark enough for me though so I may try to dye it. however I have to find a way to protect the silk screened ghost so he doesn't turn gray/tan aswell haha. This is the best picture I have right now to show off what the dragon zippers look like

Maybe tomorrow I can do a side by side shot for anyone interested.

Got mine in the mail today and got a good look at him. Im really impressed with the pack and wand. Like really impressed lol. Anyway just an update for the folks interested in what Im dubbing my "hot toys quality kit". Ive got a good bit of interested on here and on gbfans so I think I'm gonna start this up tomorrow and get some pictures going. Ill make a post in the customs section so as to not highjack this thread in anyway but Ill be sure to link it from here! I'm open to any suggestions you guys may have to make this one hell of a great kit!

Just a heads up on what Im planing
Screen accurate t-500 and holder with "motorola" waterslide decals
Screen accurate elbow pads
New key holder
Screen accurate "belt gizmo" with real glass nixie tubes and screen accurate board + chips.
Cloth web belt (optional)

As I find more ways to improve upon this figure I may add to the list. Maybe a set of cloth gloves to tuck into the belt?

Cool man, I'd be interested in seeing this :)

Sorry guys. For sixty bucks, I'm thrilled. I think the cartoonish portrait "captures the spirit" of the GhostBusters. Bring on the rest of the team. I'm on board.

Not as much talk about the 6" Ray, for obvious reasons...but one disappointing note is that the gun and hose appears to be made of different material than Egon's. It's much stiffer and after just a couple of poses with the wand in and out of his hands, it looks like the hose is going to break at the base of the proton pack before very much longer.

It'll be an easy fix, but a bummer after Egon's was the perfect, rubbery feel. (That's what she said.)

And it's kinda funny, having Ray and Egon side by side...it's almost like your brain fills in their correct body proportions, it knows and wants them to be unique and fools your eyes, and they do look subtly different.

Ive just taken this thing apart 100% (even the proton pack lol). Mattel really nailed the pack. I think the pack itself is worth the 60 bucks. I found it funny thought the "Clippard" valves now say "shippard". For those curious on screen accuracy, its at a good 85-90% I would say. there are only very small details that are missing. This got me thinking of another thing to include in my kit which would be a screen accurate ribbon cable to replace the current one. If you open the back of the pack it just slides right out!

i ordered 12" ray, got my shipping notice yesterday so im hoping the royal mail strike here in the UK wont delay him arriving!

I can't wait to get the other guys. They need to hurry up.

And I already want some GB2 action, Ray w/ a Slime Blower and NES Advantage would be awesome.

Hopefully they give us at very least a scaled Slimer as well. Maybe they'll scale up the 6" one and do it as an exclusive sometime.

Great pics, thanks for the Proton-pack shot, very detailed.

I'm thinking about jumping aboard, but I really wanted 1/4 scale Ghostbuster statues

whoohoo ray arrived today. Very happy with him. He looks way better in hand. The detail on the proton pack is amazing. By the way opening the pack is a royal pain in the a12 so just be prepared for that.
