Screw SS's Vader

I've got my new Hurricane ANH Vader

Don't know if its the pics, but something just doesnt look right about him.

I like SS's better at $125.

I just rebought an unopened Sideshow 12" Old Ben for $57 shipped to go with my Vader. I had previously sold all my SW figures but decided just to have those two. They will look nice next to my HT Batman & Joker since I'm kind of leaning towards a good vs. evil 12" collection.

As such, I still haven't decided what I'm doing with all of my LOTR figures. Those are hard to dwindle down especially if they never release some sort of servant of Sauron.

Possibly, but that's dangerous, you risk alienating the current collector base if you don't handle things right between now and then. Maybe keep it slow, but you can't let it nearly come to an end, especially with all the other products coming out there, people'll move on in that scenario.

The head also looks strange for some reason, he does'nt look imposing to me

Its a good custom. But I think The Helmet is sitting slightly too high on the body, and the chestbox is far too small for ANH.

It's also riding too low; it needs to be right below the armor, with the belt tucked in fairly close below it. The NH costume basically has almost no gaps between the armor, the box,the belt and the codpiece...PS

Too funny! But I have to say that I AM very surprised to see any crtiticizm of a Hurricane Vader.

I guess I shouldn't be though. One thing about the Freaks is that they will give you an honest opinion (and that is a good thing, to me).

Its refreshing to see someone with an open viewpoint instead of either jumping in to defend or attacking.

Does anyone know if you are able to remove the SS Darth Vaders shoulder armor and put the part of his cape that goes down his shoulders underneath? Was it like that in the ESB and ROTJ? I even noticed that when I'm playing Soul Calibur IV.

If you want that just wait until they make an ESB or ROTJ Vader. This is ANH Vader and has addition details specific to that version, not just the inner cape.

Off the top of my head:

ANH: over armor cape, red eye lenses, ringed gauntlets, chest box lights and details, armor should be a bit dustier, helmet and faceplate has two tone paint scheme, one black tusk on the facemask, black cape chain (not always seen).

ESB/ROTJ: under armor cape, black lenses, vertical lined gauntlets, more detailed chestbox, armor has a shine to it and the silver and black scheme, no two tone paint scheme, all black, silver tusks, silver cape chain.

One of our Vader experts has a site they will most likely post again.

From what I have seen all three films have the two tone silver highlighting on the helmet, it's just more pronounced on the ESB helmet.
