I don't know about 2012 6Sith, but I do agree it will happen at some point. It's just the next logical step in the evolution of 1/6th figures...and action figures fro that matter! It may not be rubber but some type of composite plastic or synthetic rubber designed to last forever.

Like u said, it will happen. Just a matter of time really.

Let's hope SSCs can keep up! Jk

I disagree, look at how HT stole the PERS from EB. I was shocked they could do that, and EB didn't patent that somehow.

As awesome as my new Bruce is... I'm sure all of you can agree when I say the seams at the shoulders SUCK. Barney Ross's body seams SUCK.

Just think of how strong condoms are. Rubber can be super super unbreakable... they just need a good plastic endo skeleton like the TTM16 body, but just half the thickness... then slap a rubber body suit that is super flexible and has moveable muscles.

Realism is what we want so it's what they are going to try to give us...

I'm going to make a bold prediction right here and say by mid to late 2012, we will see a new designed muscle body.

Mate if you think that HT 'stole' EB's eyeball system then you don't have any understanding about patent law. And if you think condoms are strong, then you don't have any understanding about materials and manufacturing technology. Bold predictions are fine and all, but you haven't backed this one up with much of a clue.

If you own Leonidas you'd know that it is a beautifully sculpted figure and looks fantastic on the shelf. But it cannot endure extreme poses without denting the rubber and putting strain on it that will eventually lead to tearing. Bending the elbows or knees flattens out the joint, rather than achieving the desired protuberance. The paint is easily rubbed off the rubber body. One day, as Lee states, it may happen. But next year? Bro, you're dreaming :)

You realize that EB and HT have different eye moving systems, right?

Is your argument that Enterbay should have been able to stop any other company from ever moving the eyes on their figure in any way?

Wow your so passionate... yes I guess you are more intelligent?

I'm agreeing that today's muscle bodies are dead - but the evolution of them is not done... can you agree with that?

as for the PERS, I didn't know other figures had them before... I figured that the GOD figure from EB was the first, I stand corrected.

Basically anything EB does, HT can do better and they will...
Lejuan if you think these stupid bodies with seams are the future YOU are dreaming :cuckoo:

Yeah, I know they are different - I did think EB was the first though, I guess I'm wrong there - Felt like a rip off though

i think enterbay's new body looks awful. they've never been able to get bruce lee's arms to look right - and i'm referring to ALL of their bruce lee releases. i have the WoD, and i can't stand how the arms look.

i have hot toys' EtD, and it's awesome. the sculpted arms actually LOOK like arms with defined deltoids, biceps, triceps, etc.

with all that said, Arnie Kim rules in the Bruce Lee headsculpt department.
hot toys' EtD is close, but it's no Arnie Kim sculpt.

btw, who's that smiling guy on enterbay's new GoD?
:rotfl

:slap As others have said, the moveable eyes predate your birth. Enterbay wasn't the first company to invent them and HT's PERS system is different from EB so nothing was "stolen." :monkey1

As to the bodies, HT's been there and done that. The articulation in a seamless body is highly inferior to what they're doing now. Pick up a HT Rambo and you'd know this. Dutch was an evolutionary step toward giving a figure aesthetics and shoulders which could do more than move 20 degrees in any direction. The new PVC-style neck/chest pieces are a step further, branching away from the rubber issues. The articulated arms are the same. If you really want to see where HT"s headed I'd suggest looking closely at the PVC neck/chest pieces and the advancement the TTA's play in articulation. If you're hoping for seamless bodies, go collect statues or HT of yesteryear. They're a thing of the past that even Enterbay's learning.

He'd have to own him to know. :huh

Enterbay didn't invent ____. The moving eyeball feature has been around for over 30 years. The G.I. Joes from the 70's had it.

Oh c'mon isnt that a little too harsh? I agree the initial proto pics didnt look very flattering but this closeup of the proto

is pretty good when compared to the cheeky grin in the movie from where its referenced from...

Also for those who dont know, this smiling sculpt will come with painted eyes... NO EVision or whatever movable eyes system. So better chances of the final product looking like the proto...

I never said that today's bodies will not continue to evolve, simply that in the foreseeable future HT are done with seamless bodies. In fact what I said exactly was:

"Don't bank on another seamless body from HT anytime soon - I think King Leonidas was their last attempt at this for a long time. Achieving a seamless body that poses well and is durable is quite a trick, and will take a few more advances in materials and manufacturing technology before it happens."

And you're arguing with this? Save the cuckoos bro, I never said it would never happen. But the next 12-18 months? Allow me: :cuckoo:

Eye looks a bit more sleepy than cheeky? This is a sculpt that might actually be improved by the EVision system maybe? Kim's is the better smiling sculpt IMO (different expression altogether I know), it's the BD sculpt I'm most looking forward to, especially if it's easily mated to the HT body.

Yep I'm arguing with that, why don't you wait 12 to 18 months which is what I'm predicting before you say I'm wrong, like you know for sure. That is why it's a prediction. and you get double coo koo for arguing something you don't know anymore than I do...:cuckoo::cuckoo:

Agreed, he looks kinda baked...

If the BD sculpt is as good as the proto, I'm in too, need that genuine yellow enterbay suit too, the ones on ebay from singapore suck!

I think they'd be better served finding innovative ways to hide or lessen the joints
eg. the way Enterbay's older bodies connected almost seamlessly midfoream.

Also, is that smiling sculpt proto using moveable eyes? The one at the event and in the pic above clearly shows the eyes off center, looking off to the figures left.

Thought I would share my Bruce Set up:

Darn detolf shelf not tall enough, oh well, screw the glass -

detolfbruce2.jpg

I want to eventually have han and bruce in here... when they get around to it...

yeah yeah, those of you who will create and entire page about how I'm wrong and han won't come out, yes I don't care, just saying I want one ok

detolfbruce3.jpg

My thoughts:
1) The skin color on the 1/4 is a little darker and oranger than the DX04, can't tell which I like better, but the 1/4 to me is the Bruce to beat at any size.
2) I miss the magnetic heads from EB. When I would pose him I would change the eyes last, and just grab the head. On the DX04 you can to pick him up and pop the hair off thus screwing up your pose.
3) The DX04 is freakin amazing. I love and cannot believe the setup it came with. The Hair is my only real beef, and the seams if you've read above.
4) I want to change the ropes to chain? I think...

This sits to the left of my military command station.
word.

Double cuckoo?! Steady on there fella, this could get out of hand. Like I said, I'm not writing off seamless bodies altogether, but 12-18 months is not that long in design/manufacturing terms. I'm no action figure expert, given - but do have a degree in industrial design, so I do kinda know a bit about materials and manufacturing technology. OK, I won't say that you're wrong for another 18 months, but trust me, it's just delaying the inevitable :)

I hope the custom one I picked up is ok - it isn't coming from Singapore but Hong Kong. I couldn't wait for the EB GoD to come out (June/July now?) and I am concerned about the staining issue some have complained about with previous GoD suits. If anyone has any comparison pics of a custom and a genuine EB suit I'd be keen to see it. Mine is arriving in the next week or so, fingers crossed it doesn't suck. At least the shoes will be the EB ones and not the molded ones, the pics I've seen of some examples aren't great.

Ok, I have to admit if you have a degree that is pretty impressive and I should respect your authority on the matter... it does intrigue me to pry further...

Don't you think that the only real problem with HT muscle bodies is the rubber is too thick and too stiff? a thinner softer rubber would pose easier? just seems like today's new bodies are not articulate at all and the seams suck and the chick's bodies are already getting there...

So, how about $50? $50 bucks through paypal to you if by 18 months from now we don't see a new type of muscle body by HT? if you we do you send me $50? I don't mean on the market... just like sparrow or smiley bruce is now, just a proto

sorry dude, not sure what you're saying.

I realize its been stated that the final version will have NO moving eyes but I was saying that the proto appears that it DOES have moving eyes.

Is this incorrect and the eyes are just permanently off center looking to the figures left, or is it a case of while the proto does have moving eyes the final one won't ?
