At the final battle above Scarif when the Alliance/Rebel fleet arrives...I have no idea why the two Star Destroyers don't open fire on any of the rebel crafts:dunno

Why doesnt the Death Star have visible thrusters like every other ship in the universe.....how does it travel at sub light speed without them. Ugh :gah:

All ships in Star Wars defy the laws of physics, why should the Death Star be any different. X-Wings, TIE Fighters, the Falcon, etc., all do crazy barrel rolls in zero g that would require thrusters an all sides of the ships. Or you can just assume that they're small, hidden, and rarely seen like when the landing thrusters of the Falcon flared up as it touched down on Cloud City.

Yeah, some ships have them super visible and some just don't have them at all, though in the PT, didn't some ships have some special hyperspace attachment?

Have TIE Fighters ever been shown going into light speed? They call them short range fighters in ANH.

The beauty of the interwebs...... movies offer a few hours of fun to escape the real world and dive into make believe no seriousness required..... unless I venture into BvS thread ...it was so deep that it requires an intellectual discussion. :lol

No TIE Fighters are ever seen entering hyperspace and it's assumed by Luke's dialogue in ANH that they aren't capable. Various EU sources (like the X-Wing/TIE Fighter PC games) said that TIE's had no shields or hyperdrives.

Supposedly the "Special Forces" TIE's used by the First Order finally have both, however (which Finn's dialogue does seem to back up when he urges Poe to "get out of this system" after they flee Kylo's Star Destroyer.
