Sweet! :rock Gonna be so nice to have this after seeing it at SDCC. Also will be nice to have Sauron in the collection once again.

Was flexing the dark rider but took the decision to transfer my payment to sauron PF this week. I hope sideshow will let me do this for a one time disgrace. Would be my first time about changing my mind about a statue with sideshow.

I'll try to get dark rider later next year or maybe two. With open edition, gonna get it in a local store cheaper and still available.

Also in 3 more weeks I'll also have only one more last flex pay left of $144 for DROM

But it's so nice to know and feels good that it's almost over and that very little is owed

ok Josh really hope to get this one :)

I hope you do. I think this is going to be on a very short list of Middle-earth related items that fans must must must have.

That's true. It's a super impressive piece in person as much as Sauron is IMO. What was at Comic-Con 2012 from Middle-earth was amazing. :rock

Those photos at CC helped me decide to get this...plus that awesome 8 flex pay...Most folks never had a 3ft piece before...some I bet even 2ft...I've had and still have some big pieces...This will blow minds...In hand it will make jaws drop and will become a grail for some...I hope QC shows up too LOL

Seeing it in person really sealed it for me. I wanted it but I had to see it just to see if it would be something I'd want to toss that much money at. Then of course the amount of FP really helped make it easier so I was golden. I'm with ya. I had the original Sauron statue and have had some large pieces but nothing quite like this or the new RWOS.

I really would like to have this one (though Lord knows where I'm going to put it especially with The Dark Rider on the way). My main worry is whether or not the factories will be able to duplicate the orange glow well enough to match the prototype. It would be very easy for the painting crews to go overboard with the airbrushing and have us wind up with a glow-in-the-dark orange Sauron. Any thoughts?

You might be right...but personally for me it's too good to pass up IMHO...If I dont like the paint I will repaint it over myself

Usually sideshow's paint job is really good. Berserker, lurtz and maquettes are pretty well done except for the eyes they totally screw up.

It's possible it could happe . I do think with a piece like this they're going to make every effort to make sure this comes out like what was at comic-con.

Until I see the production piece, I'm holding off. If it's like SDCC pics I'll place my order. If it turns out bad, I'll still order but I'll wait to get it cheaper on the secondary market.

your photos are great.... realy bring out a lot of detail. Do you think im asking to much for Lurtz remembering these thing's are lot more expensive in the uk.
Thanks for anyone's advice it will be appreciated

Thank you! I really try to always take good photos so people can see how nice each piece is. Sometimes I do really good and sometimes its not as good as I'd like. I don't know what the value is of Lurtz to be honest.
