Did you just assume she's not black just because she's white?

She could be Alt White, like Shaun "Talcum X" King.

The base attack wasn't directed by JT, and it doesn't half show compared to the rest of the movie. I think it's unfair to call the rest of the editing choppy as it's better than many give it credit for.

Here's a good breakdown of what made the original Predator so good....

Yeah that is certainly a good watch. I think that's where I found out the guerrilla shootout was shot by second unit, and now knowing that it's incredibly obvious.

Predator's mastery of its craft is so subtle, so intuitive and so transparent that it goes over the head of many that let themselves get carried away by the inertia of an 80's B-movie pulpy action starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, that's why I never address that kind of criticism.

If it wasn't for the Guerrilla shootout and a few other very minor flaws outside of McTiernan's hands, the movie would be objetively on par with Alien, yet, I still put it above it in terms of pacing, balance and entertainment factor.

It's Arnold's best film as an actor, by far. It's got all the earmarks for a perfect guy film.

Alien is high art, and I don't believe that was what Scott and co. even strive for. It just fell into place to be that. There's a lot of similarities within Predator that fell into place to make it perfect. But when you look at it on paper, it's another dumb muscle film that has an Crab Hunter from outer space.

My religion. Convert to it or die, plebs.

I agree, even his accent doesn't detract from his performance at all.

It's understandable that Predator is often discarded as a dumb Arnie movie, but it's held up so well through time because when you go break down to the minutia of it, both technical and artistic, you realize how well designed and thought out everything is.

Even the guerrilla shootout scene is placed early in the film so you can get the 80's cheesy macho action out of the way as soon as possible.

It's his best performance. It's the only time I truly can believe he's a character. He completely conveys he's the leader, and all the guy's trust him unequivocally.

The supporting cast is excellent as well, primarily Mac. I really think if it didn't have that to back up Arnold, it wouldn't of been as good. As soon as the Pred is thrown into the mix with them, you don't want any of them to die.

The slow build up to them confronting it, and getting to know the characters with even a little bit of banter went a long way.

anyway, i like predator 2 more.

A ****ing Alien.

It has it's good merits, but I always have thought it was cooler to think it was Murtaugh before he met Riggs. But then again, Mr. Joshua already would know Murtaugh so it doesn't work.

I don't care, don't hate my fanfiction!

Outside of the line drop I don't understand why people compare Harrigan to Murtaugh.
They're pretty damn different characters. And Harrigan is freakin' awesome.

I legitimate prefer predator 2 because i love every single aspect of itand i love every character and i really really love the predator tech in that one
