The Xbox One launches in the following regions this year, but more importantly, the console will only function in these regions:

Australia
Austria
Belgium
Brazil
Canada
Denmark
Finland
France
Germany
Ireland
Italy
Mexico
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Russia
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
United Kingdom
United States

Xbox Live functionality will not be available for other regions, so importers (a big market) will not be able to use the system at all because of the mandatory online check.

Also, Asian countries will not see the Xbox One until late 2014, one year after launch.

So not only are games restricted by the console is restricted too :lol :slap

well my country aint included in the list

Thank you Microsoft.. it's been a blast.. I bought your original Xbox and bought your Xbox360 .. and you made my choice to go for the PS4 easier & Fu**you for telling us to stick with the 360

I am so psyched for this console. I have one preorderd! Also I have forza 5 and assassins creed . I can't wait for november baby !!

I typically don't post in here, but figured someone should know this: Will the kinect be able to be turned to face the wall or will it be mandatory to see some sort of motion?

No, it will just eject you from your house then.

I love my 360, I was just planning on getting the X1 and just turning the Kinect around, but if I can't do that I may be going the Sony route.

It's amazing MS thinks this is a sound business strategy. :slap

i'll repeat a comment I made before but with few tweaks

1- MS first Conference regarding the Xbox One Reveal Pissed off People because of always online, Kinect, DRM ..etc

2- Their Press Release to explain some things after the backlash made the people remain pissed & Confused & Later on they said it'll be Region locked

3- Their E3 Conference shocked the people with its price and got Booed .

4- After all the hate MS responds with "Stick with the 360" instead of listening to the fans/customers/consumers ..etc

5- their latest step into what they see a Future success is to leave out an entire continent & only 21 countries will be able to play Xbox One out of 195 countries .

I mean ... i'm at a point I don't even know how to respond to MS .. because what they're doing is too much for a gamer to handle, just when you think MS is done with it's BS another day comes only to surprise us with another blow.

Funny ****....

M$ still hasn't learned... from Window ME, Windows Vista, Windows 8 (still WIP) and now XBone.... :slap
Each of these they've had to step back and do it again....

Can't wait to see what happens in a year after launch!

They're going to stick to their guns unless one of the following happens BEFORE launch:

1) Their investors get nervous which causes stock prices to go down which worries their Board who MAY order changes in policy.

2) The X-Box division of management of whoever is in charge of these crazy policies evaluates the risk vs. gain and ultimately decides to reverse their stance OR concede to certain changes that may not 100% reverse their stance, but will attract fans back.

3) Microsoft determines the number of pre-orders is not their projected outcome and begins changes in hopes to increase orders and increase their quarterly profits for the release period.

At this point, any dramatic changes are going to be announced CLOSER to Console Launch in Fall. It seems like Microsoft is pretty determined to drive over the cliff with this. And only the results of the failure will force them to reverse their stance and policy on these programs they have implemented. If that happens, I will guarantee that the CEO of the X-Box division of MS will be forced to resign. This is a heavy political career burden as well and it's already not looking good.

I'm sure though there are some top-level executive meetings going on discussing what they would do should the XBONE fail.

I thought their stock prices did go down? I don't follow stocks closely, but I thought I saw that they dropped pretty decently after the original announcement. I could totally be wrong because like I said I don't really follow them.

It still can be some time before changes are implemented. And if they anticipated this, they may have a limit set which if the stocks drop beyond that number of points then they will reverse policies.

Then again...who knows? Maybe they're flying by the seat of their pants. They did decide to name this the X-Box ONE...which is a dumb name anyways.

Ever think that the countries listed are the majority of the 360 sales?

Also I don't remember people complaining that the 360 wasn't released world wide all at one time. Sometimes it not the companies fault, sometimes it's the countries fault. Sometimes there are legal issues in the country that forces it to be delayed( I am guessing this is the case here).

The PS3 didn't have worldwide release either.
