Here's a look at the pricing

So.... the whole $1k rule was nonsense? Or they changed it recently or something?
Wonder if InArt will address the pricing as I think a lot of people will feel like they have been lied too/mislead.
Although the 2 pack isn't too bad value for money, I think a lot of people, myself included would have went for the red suit figure only for a reduced price.

wow but to be honest I’m gonna choose inart in spite of this because HT had years to do this figure and give it justice it took inart to wake them up. I’m sticking with the inart 2 pack on this one. Screw the sideshow queue on the “artistian version 😂

Its so weird honestly, I think WB must have gone back on their word about the $1k minimum

I don’t think Inart would make a 2 pack / 4 pack unless they really had to, to justify the price point

All their other figures have stand alone options so I don’t see why it would be different for Joker unless they had to do it. They definitely knew they would have sold a lot more units if they sold him in his red suit separately

Hot Toys seem to have way too much influence

InArt definitely need to explain how this is possible. We all know HT won’t give us any information so that’s the only way to understand how HT got around the $1K ruling.

If it was just a matter of waiting a few months for the terms to change, the IA would have really shot themselves in the foot but missing out on being able to offer a single Joker release.

Anyways, since it would be easier (and cheaper) for me to land a supermodel than an Artisan figure, I still don’t consider them to even exist.
I quite like HT’s diorama though…
They really did everything they could to make it stand out.
Annoying.

So much on my mind.

Firstly, it took Hot Toys 5 years to announce this figure, why?

Not because everybody was asking for it.. but only to spite their competitor as usual. Watch them announce a Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman soon. Howard is a petty mother ****** man.

-

Secondly.. that sculpt is not great. Wipe off the paint.. does it still look like Phoenix?

-

Thirdly, does anybody know what either of these is priced at? That brings even more questions.

-

I didn't order Inart's because I was priced out. But now I'm kind of glad I didn't. Mind you however, Inart's does look considerably better.

The prices directly from HT/Echo Base are:
Artisan: HKD$2,980
Regular: HKD$2,130 but has a mark out to change it to HKD$1,962
Maybe the reduced price is for those purchasing at the event?

The HKD price is up... 2980 HKD for artisan.... and judging from past releases that means it'll be around $450ish on sideshow.

This figure with a diorama is less than the TDK Joker.... I don't know why the TDK Joker was priced so high.

Interesting.. Yeah, I don't feel the need to go ALL OUT with Phoenix like I do with Ledger. I'd be content with this at a much more reasonable price.

Would be great to see an update to the face and the hair sculpts though.

Still curious to see JND tackle this.

Given Hot Toys are on a roll in making improvements with the final production version over the prototypes recently, curious how this one will end up looking. Unlikely it'll still reach Inart level though.

Yeah I'd expect improvements with this one. Would be good.

But man, that price difference...

That sounded made up from the beginning.
It wasn’t. Most likely lifted recently at WB.

Revoltech announced last week that they’re doing a v1.5 Arkham Knight figure. The first release only included swords and knives. The rumor seems to be that the gun mandate that they held on their merchandises has been lifted, which is what will be included in the 1.5 Seems to be a change up as of late over there.

Hot Toys seems to be able to freely show off the pistol as well, which INART wasn't able to do besides showing that it's included in the overall layout image.
