Because the whole reason everyone preordered the four pack is because of the bathroom scene Joker.
If they lower the price there will be a lot of people that rather would’ve paid just a bit more to have that figure as well.

Yeah a lot of people wanted the bathroom scene one but I don't think offering the 3 pack from the get go would have pushed the 2 pack crowd to upgrade.

I do think inart should have just stuck with one version of the set then people wouldn't have been conflicted on what to get. Maybe a single offering of a 3 pack could be the best option.

I'm more intrigued how HT is getting away with the lower price point offering really as I don't have a horse on this Phoenix Joker race.

I think if they tweak a few small things this one will look better then the Inart. People fell in love with Inarts realism but forgot about accuracy. Hot toys wins in a few spots there like Hairline, eye makeup, blouse has the right fabric, cut of the yellow vest is sharper and more accurate and even the slight baggy tailoring look more accurate to me. Adjust the lapels and neck thickness/collar fit and tweak the sculpt a little bit to look less dead and this is a winner.

Edit: some comparison pics.
Even the hot toys one seems a bit too tailored. But overall HT suit looks more accurate to me.

Some angels I like this sculpt more than InArt and some not so much. Tailoring definitely doesn't have that nice micro-stitching detailing that InArt has nor the real, sewn in buttons on the shirt and vest.

Seamless wrists is a nice touch on this and works since he does some signature poses that don't require much or any articulation unlike other characters would.

The main platform of the display base is just their standard large diamond shaped base turned to the side. You can even tell how the nameplate is meant to be at the smaller side to the right in the picture as the angles of the nameplate edges don't match in it's current position.

It's a good effort, and will be a good option for those that really want this character on the shelf (especially with the sculpted option), but didn't/couldn't spend the money on the InArt.

Interesting comp, but I only see how BOTH HT and InArt got the suit wrong.

I don't think anybody cares about what JND does at this point. Their sixth scale figures looks really weird compared to Hot Toys or Inart (Their Bruce Wayne, Joker, Harry Potter etc.) and they are not that easy to access in many countries. They are really overpriced for what they are, also their material choices including silicone is not that durable.
Have you seen the latest photo posted of what’s being said to be a production copy of their Ledger? It’s the best we will probably ever get in production from a company.

I'll probably just get the sculpted version. The rooting in HT looks weird, noticeable pattern placement, looking at the hairline the rooting looks almost too abundant and harshly connected.

Man.. Inart's sculpt is so much better

Surprised to see people not like the sculpt. I think it's pretty good.

For a cheaper option to InArt this is solid. Bit more work on the outfit and it's a great cheaper alternative.

I do feel this version of Joker is becoming a "i'll wait, someone else will make another". No doubt JND will do a 1/6th, and with Joker 2 around the corner InArt, HT, JND will no doubt be releasing more of him down the line.

Here the InArt sculpt definitely looks better, but in some angles I like the Hot Toys sculpt more.. Very strange.

The paint and hair is a lot better on the InArt sculpt tho.

I think the sculpt is pretty good, it's just not a version of the character I require taking a spot on the shelf.

Love the film. Prolly gonna love the new one. But this will never visually strike me as a needed figure.

I'm fairly indifferent to this versions visual design. Neither against it nor does it move me.

Pretty sure InArt said they would be doing Joker and Harley from Joker 2.

And I agree, for a cheaper alternative the sculpt isn’t bad.

It definitely would. As far as I know, almost no one was interested in Arthur. It’s a very boring figure to display, the bathroom Joker is far more eye catching compared to Arthur.

The two pack was $1k, the four pack $1.5k. Let’s say we remove the white coat Joker and push down the cost to $1250 (assuming the bathroom and white coat were $250 each) I just know everyone that went for the two pack would drop that extra $250 to own the bathroom Joker.

So yeah, I don’t think it would be fair to remove the whit coat Joker and lower the price. A lot of people would be unsatisfied.

Damn seeing alot if doubt on this. Inart cost like 800 don’t wanna pay that much I’m sure this will be like what? 400 plus?

It's possible that the suit and pants might just need to be pulled and straightened a little bit by hand. Of course, this is just me being hopeful that the person who posed the figure might not have done a very good job.

Of course something has changed at WB....there's a sequel coming out in a few months.

That changes everything - it means there's going to be a lot more interest again, which is a limited opportunity to make a bunch of sales. You don't want to limit your market when this much money is potentially on the table.

Also, consider why there wasn't much merchandise the first time around - the creators (mainly Phillips and Phoenix) wanted to consider this an art film. It wasn't a popcorn blockbuster in their eyes, and they didn't want the associations that come with things like action figures, toys, and merchandising.

But now there's a sequel, which inherently diminishes that film's status as an artsy film, both in the eyes of the public and in the eyes of the creators. Choosing to make a sequel is almost a sell-out in and of itself, in a way, and once you're comfortable with that decision, it becomes easier to be comfortable with other decisions that lead to a bigger payday, like merchandising.

I'll get this. But I for sure want a Joker 2 Joker either blue suit or his all white one.
