They used the original 89 Batman on the new base when first showing that figure so I wouldn't worry. Will almost certainly have a new sculpt when it goes for pre-order months from now.

Uh... Well yeah, no. Looks like it won't be a true 2.0 or as premium as we thought. I'm sure it isn't real leather either and is actually pleather. I will be waiting for the Inart version.

I'm assuming so but at the same time I wouldn't put it past Hot Toys to simply reissue these sculpts. That's what they've been doing with Batman Begins despite people crying out for a brand new figure. Hugely disappointing if this figure is released as shown here.

If Inart are making a Terminator then I will probably wait, this looks identical to the original DX13 [which is still a great figure]
Diorama base is nice though, once again I find myself wishing HT sold their diorama bases separately.
For anyone without the original figure this is a good idea, and if it turns out to have real leather clothing and some other features it may be worth considering.
But yeah, bit of a dissapointment.

They are definitely making Terminator, they have the license. And i heard they recently confirmed Diecast Endoskeleton.

So we know it will have a new diorama base, a teargas launcher and for some reason a seamless elbow interchangeable left arm.
I'm thinking it's cause they are using a new body? Or maybe just seamless arms from Cena's Peacemaker

Its a no brainer for me then - gonna wait for Inart.
Already have the DX13 and its aged well as a figure - just need to find a new neck peg joint.
Also a Diecast Endoskeleton would be Day-1 order baby - love the sound of that

For those who wants to wait InArt, they only have Terminator 1 licence, not Terminator 2
And so far, are we are getting is an endoskeleton, im not complaining, but not having an Arnold figure your first go around is not a good sign.

Hopefully they end up doing a new sculpt but if this is how it goes up for preorder as is, keep
Low expectations for an update.

Oh wait it DOES include everything the old DX13 included, aside from a T-1000. Nice!

This time we remove the whole arm instead of just the forearm. Good, it was prone to breakages.

I'm assuming it's for use with the other jacket (with the full sleeve). Plus it looks like the arm has some BD as well so it will look OK if you want to pose him without a jacket.
EDIT: Just saw a clearer pic and it seems I was wrong about the BD on that seamless arm. :(

If they just reissue this figure with a new base, it’ll be both not surprising and extremely disappointing. Especially given how much they’ve improved since this figure has come out.

It’s not Marvel/DC/StarWars so of course this and Predator gets both ends of the lazy stick.

I agree. To me these are looking like last minute things, slapped on some prototype base they either made for this show, or made and never mass producted.

It strikes me odd that nothing has any really new features or sculpts.....

Might be just for the show at this point....just odd that nothing new for the Terminator, particularly the head...which is good, but can be improved with todays tech...
