I'm hopeful for the sequel, but cautiously pessimistic after years of being disappointed by sequels.

Maybe it would have been more interesting to take another Bat-villain and do a character study in the same way -- Penguin, Riddler...?

Set up a universe first of these madmen, then have the villains join forces when Batman is finally introduced. Like a reverse and dark MCU plan.

I like it, but not a chance you’re selling WB on that idea, albeit for good reason, I don’t see people lining the block for a Penguin coming of age solo ark. People are tired of building universes of any kind thanks to Marvel, Justice League & SW.

Yeah, it would get formulaic and you'd run out of interesting stories quickly. Just riffin'
That’s DC’s issue, Joker is so good that you can never lead with any of his other rogues gallery for the general movie going audience. It worked for Nolan because it brought Batman back to grounded reality, had strong leads and promised Joker in the sequel. Even Pattinson’s film had to throw that abomination in last second. I’m sorry but I can’t take his Batman seriously if that’s the Joker they’re going with. Batman is only as great as his villains.

Since this Joker is suppose to be priced the same as Iron Spider 2.0, it just dropped now on Sideshow.

$340 for Standard and $460 for Artisan. Before taxes and shipping of course.

Hmm utterly confused by that base. it looks good but I guess the designer was also confused and couldn't decide. Its like 3 ideas in one :lol

Is the InArt base more “movie accurate?”

I sort of like the Hot Toys base better because it incorporates “Live with Murray Franklin,” the Applause sign and USB lightning that the InArt does not include.

Already did a full pay on the InArt 4 pack so will likely pass on Hot Toys but I am intrigued.

The HK price is HKD $2,980, that’s around $380 USD, before tax & shipping probably looking at $460-480 USD on Sideshow. Purple coat Ledger was $515, Imposter $445. Even with the diorama, they’re not dumb enough to price it higher than Ledger.

It appears both the Artisan Phoenix & Artisan Iron Spider are HKD $2,980.
$460 for Phoenix? Called it.

Really in conflict with this one. Some shots looks truly remarkable but then again other shots it looks really bad, and voice whispering in the back of my head "Inart, Inart" isnt helping😂

Also, already bought a custom Joker becouse i intended to skip inarts release. Makes me wonder why i even thinking of getting a second. Maybe i just truly appreciated that movie and the character 😌

Intrigued. I haven’t seen any bad shots of this.

These shots,

mostly promo pictures. The big eyes and tailoring is what i meant. But in this shot he looks incredible to be honest.

Do NOT base your opinion on something using Hot Toys promotional pics, they’re awful, just about anything they make looks terrible on sideshow, surprised their photographer still has a job. The fact that both of those photos are of the same prototype sculpt should inform you on everything you need to know, the top photo is edited beyond belief, the bottom photo is what a photographer shot in person without touch up.
