Is it me or does he look a little to bulky around the waist? Very disappointed in the colour though. That + no Tony headsculpt is a pass for me. It should have gotten something extra as the #300 figure.

BTW is Iron Man confirmed for the Infinity War movies? Maybe I'll get his final suit from the franchise (or the Mark 3) instead.

Its always been a bad transition on the animators' part, to suggest RDJ's neck could fit into the suits. The suits are for a man that's about 6'2". RDJ is tiny. Proportions have been off since 2008.

Im pretty sure thats by choice. Iron man has always had the classic "Comic book proportions" regardless of RDJ or Don Cheedle

RDJ has one more movie on his contract after Civil War, it's probably safe to assume that last movie will be Infinity War. Though i'm hoping he still wants to be Tony after that... He was pretty eager to extend his contract for Civil War.

I doubt they expected the actors cast to be that short. It was one of those "Whatever, let's just do what we want with the suit regardless of these short people."

RDJ has one more movie on his contract after Civil War, it's probably safe to assume that last movie will be Infinity War. Though i'm hoping he still wants to be Tony after that... He was pretty eager to extend his contract for Civil War.

I think IRON MAN 4 is happening in 2020. There were test screenings for GOTG that had questionnaires with "would you go see IRON MAN 4?". After that I think that's a wrap. Thank God they fixed the Mandarin problem in All Hail The King and Tony can now fight the real Mandarin in IM4.

I think mark 43 should painted this way not mark 45

HT needs to ease up with the brightness of their paint jobs.

None, this picture was just to tease people for the upcoming Ultron line. Several bases are different from what is shown here.

It's fair to say that another company finally produced a better Iron Man figure prototype than Hot Toys.

Comicave's 1:4 Mk 45 fig proto was/is jaw dropping and creams this in comparison. Whether it will make it to production is another story...

It makes me think of Tony wearing the Mk43, and morphing like Bumblebee transitioning between his different vehicle modes in the Bayverse into the Mk45... same colours and all..

Diecast Mark 3 and 1/4 Mark 43 still my PO IMs. Never was a fan of the design.

hmm with Hulkbuster, HT seem get the color right. maybe it just the lighting from the photo shoot that make his color brighter.

Hand guards are a bit off, same with the knee pads. Some of the colors are wrong, too. But I like it. It's still a prototype though, so maybe it'll get changed for the final release.

EDIT: Paint-wise, at least. I think they nailed the head, TBH.

I still hope they'll make a version of Tony in the Bruce Lee shirt with the spectacular 1/4 sculpt shrunk down. That or the house party scene with Thor's hammer stuck to a table.

How can they get a colour so wrong?

I cant understand the whole 'fits in with the other armours better' as screen accurate, they are different shades of red....

I was really excited to see Hot Toys upload these pics this morning but why only 5 shots? I think the sculpt is pretty nice, the shoulders are a little larger in my opinion and the lateral vents on the chest armor have too soft of a definition making it look messy compared to the concept art. But my biggest gripe along with the others is the paint job - should've been more metallic like the AoU War Machine and a bit darker. I hope more pictures will be released soon otherwise I may wait to see how the Civil War Mk46 turns out.

Also, I wonder what made Hot Toys include energy blasts to peg in...

It may just be me, but I think the pics are photoshopped. Look closely at the chest RT, it some of the shots it looks the the RT and the area around it is distorted. Like maybe the RT was too small and they shopped it larger to be more screen accurate. Might be why there's only 5 shots. Or, and probably a more likely theory, I'm just crazy lol
