There have been slight alterations (I'm thinking the gold parts on the hand guards for the 45) before, but the promo art in the past has pretty much represented what was seen in the film. I can't see that face plate changing too much for example.

This bugs me too... I've seen this same picture posted on reddit under the title "promo art" and I always try to correct them and always get alot of angry responses.

Really? It isn't up to the usual standard of Meinerding/Saunders/Wen. I guess time will tell.

As far as I know, this is what hot toys needs to do to make it fully screen accurate. Tbh I don't care much either way.

I like that there's such a difference between this and the MK7. I feel like the mark 7 was amazing due its functionality. Thie mark 45 is amazing due to its beauty.

The mark 4/6 was better looking than the mark 7. But the 7 had a sweet suit up sequence and badass weaponry, with a design that matched. That brought the MK7 passed both the 4 and the 6 to become my favourite. But the mark 45 has taken that spot now, bringing the list to; 45, 7, 4, 6.

I love that each of these are great for their own reason. And I think the 46 in civil war will be awesome as well. Based on the most recent promo art from today, i think that ones gonna be one of my favourites.

The color is most glaring aspect of HT's that is off, so if that isn't fixed idk how you'd call the image "fully screen accurate", but I get how that's a pain to fix in Photoshop.

I didnt really think it was glaringly off after seeing the secret base pics. So I decided just to change the small details to see what it'd look like. But after changing the red I see all the difference it makes. A lot.

Iron studios also did the ultron mk1 maquette that was shown a bit back. They are a pretty good studio but again it's regional. Marvel does thousands of these license deals all over the country. Most of the time they are only intended to be regional so as to not compete against another licensed product maker. If they want export/import they have to aquire a top tier multi region license or buy multiple region individual licenses. If most of these company's honored their agreement if you don't live in the area you won't have much luck getting it. Last I heard there where 60ish 1/10 thru 1/4 marvel adult collectible licenses out there. But only a handful are multi region.

Back before online shopping really took off in Multiple regions the license region stuff was not much of a problem. But more and more it's becoming one where marvel and some larger lic holders are starting to have to enforce.

And when there are companies that want to break in and get a license but none are available it's advantageous to report the region violations to marvel(or DC or WB or whom ever) and get them to maybe lose or not get it renewed. And the currency flux also means company's have to watch to see they don't get under cut.
