Made you look! :monkey3

I think that concept art looks stunning, so if the final piece is like that then SOLD

:horror

Hmm, actually this only make more keen on getting the mark 45. I won't have batteries in my figures for display, so that will probably just mean a lot of empty plastic squares/triangles on my figure. Of course, whenever the batteries are in, for photographs and the like, I think it will look really great, but I want it to look it's best all the time, so I'm not sold on more electronics. When I see the actual figure pics I might change my mind completely. but for now the 45 still wins for me. I do love the sleek lines on both figures.

^ same.
If I could have it my way I'd say away with all light up features. Drop prices

I never use the light up features on mine. I removed all the batteries because it's to much of a pain the @$$ to turn them all on.

When I got my first couple of iron man armors, I was all about the lights ...but now I'm jaded and don't care much. Took the batteries out of them all except for two ... this convo reminded me that I need to finish that up.

yeah man. i'm yet to even check some of the figures i have for their lights n batteries.
i guess i'm just gonna use the light up features of the HOA and connect em with 1 on/off switch.

To be honest though ... when I get Hulkbuster, I just might have to light it up a few times even though all the batteries will be a pain.

You have to get at least ONE photo with all of the lights on HulkBuster. That figure is too insane not to.

And just a quick question. Is it a known fact that battery leaks will happen if you leave your batteries in figures? I notice the conversation pops up from time to time, but I've never seen solid proof. Is it just a fear of it happening? Or is it almost a certainty it will happen?

I pulled all the batteries out of my figures a several months ago and the batteries in my older IM figures (MK II, WM, MK VI) all had a couple batteries that had just started to leak. I stored the good ones in a divided platic container and looked at them couple months ago and half were leaking. So i just tossed them all.

Such a shame. You think it's just the quality of the batteries Hot Toys use?

They use the cheapest batteries they can get. I was planning on replacing them with some quality batteries but i never use the lights anyway.

Well I might head out and pick up some batteries for my figures and replace them with the standard Hot Toys batteries just to be safe.

I pulled the batteries out of my IM2 Mark VI years ago and I just realized a couple of the bigger ones have finally popped. Almost 4 years after I got the figure. I removed the batteries from my regular Mark VII as well...I never put the batteries in for my Mark XXXIII, except for testing...

I was planning on leaving the batteries in my MK45 when I get it, but now I'm not sure. It's obviously not going to be turned on when it's on display, but I wanted to be able to turn it on whenever I wanted. I just might have to buy some higher quality ones if I want to leave them in.

Does Hot toys use mostly the same size for all IM figs or do I have to wait to see what size to buy?

:lol please don't leave the batteries in, my War Machine Mark I battery compartment was turning green with acid. Luckily it didn't damage anyting

At least get higher quality
