There's been far too few pictures of this thing recently so here's some screenshots from the film. It always amazes me how nice this thing is!

They are though. The reason cell phone makers might add weight or heft is simply to fool simple minds into thinking its better, motux was right in stating humans try to achieve durability and less weight in just about every facet of invention and design

It's not about fooling anyone. Metal just feels nicer than plastic. There are plastics that are higher quality than some metals and some metals that are higher quality than plastics. Wasn't disputing that. Toys aren't made of plastic to improve performance, which was what he was trying to make out originally. I was never talking about improving design or function, just feel.

Crazy how different the paint looks in different shots. Probably prefer the iridescent look myself, though I imagine the figure itself will have more flat paint.

such a shame we won't get to see more of this armor, i hope the 46 gets trashed in civil war so tony has to go back to this beauty

I ended up preordering the 1/4 scale of this armor. I have mostly 1/6 scale figures, and this 1/6 scale figure looks sweet, but I just had to have a 1/4 scale of this Mark 45.
Cant wait to see more from Hot Toys from the CW move then just the power pose Mark 46.

so, yay or nay on this figure achieving the landing pose?.. they show that the quarter scale version is able to do it, but there aren't any shots of the 1/6 version with that ability. i would think that that means it can't do it, but upon browsing their site, i noticed that they don't show photos of the iron patriot armor in a landing pose. yet, they do show the iron man 3 war machine doing it.

my best guess is that it won't be able to do it. which would be a shame. i wish they had given the 1/6 version the same upgraded articulation as the 1/4.

yeah, the 1/4 does look better.

but for me it's just too expensive, and a tad too large. now, if i had the perfect spot for it and i needed a beautiful centerpiece to my collection, well, then i'd probably save up the money for it.

i hate that they haven't revealed a proper 46 yet. that just means the actual release date of it just feels further and further away lol.
