Does anyone think that this will have the same waist articulation as the 46? That one has a lot more pics showing off the waist articulation where this one does not. The descriptions seem to match for that particular area so not sure.

•Articulation on waist armor which allows for flexible movement

You mean the 400 figures not made with a process Hot Toys have no real experience with on this scale? :rolleyes2

You brought up oily abs and 209.(one has nothing to do with this figure. The other has been done successfully) Issues with rubber. And electroplating. If I'm not mistaken they have done other versions of both and have not had issues (Aou cap, and like 100 plus figures that use rubber and have no issues)

You brought up two issues to make the point that hot toys has poor quality. Based off two poorly reviewed figures. Despite the fact that huge amounts of the people bringing up those issues have never actually had a problem themselves and it's just a "fear" based on people continually making posts like yours where they insinuate that hot toys is a crappy manufacturer and often have these large issues. And the truth is, that even if you take those two examples you brought up as full widespread issues (which they are not) hot toys still has HUNDREDS of different individual releases and tens of thousands of actual products that have none of those issues.

So, to assume there will be an issue, even if you mistakenly think it's a process they have no history with, based on past issues is just silly and baseless. You can list a few products with issues, out of a catalog that spans 15 plus years and has hundreds of product releases with no issues.

I may have miss this from previous comments but what are electroplates or electroplating? thanks

It's honestly so impossible to tell at this point since neither figure has even been released. But the actual RELEASED IM figure to compare articulation to is Mk. XLV Shotgun In my opinion as it has the most articulation of any IM figure to date.

My guess, based merely on pictures is that the 46 will improve over the 45 with articulation, especially around the waist area (which is what you're asking about). There are 2 reasons I believe this: 1. The pictures of both show there is an upper torso extension but only the pictures of the 46 show a lower waist extension. 2. A BIG DEAL for many people is to be able to get IM figures in a "natural" landing-ground pound pose (I think the main reason the Diecast Mk. III was designed the way it was) and while there is a picture of the 46 in that pose, the 45 isn't.

Now I'm not saying that really proves a damn thing, lol. I don't remember seeing Shotgun in that pose in official HT pictures (or for that matter, any of the crazy poses it's able to achieve) but Shotgun can do a mean landing-ground pound pose and others that no IM figure before had ever been able to do. Who knows, many have speculated that the 46's frame is based off the 45 so the articulation may be the same or better or worse. The last thing to consider is the LED's on the 46 and how that "may" effect the figure's articulation.

I'm pretty sure that didn't help, sorry. I'm just going to go back to unboxing my WS Fury :)

And until these electroplated figures are in people's hands, you don't know that they won't have issues either. By the way, have you ever heard the expression 'brevity is the soul of wit'?
