Cool pics, Mark 45. :duff

Still on board with this so long as the price is somewhat reasonable. Which I have a feeling it won't be. :lol

Yup me too, just got around to seeing the movie today, passing on the 43 as I already got the 42 and going strait for the 45 when it goes up for PO, but like you said its likely to be pricey, I'm guessing its going to be plastic and cost at least 269 or more, probably will end up close to 300:panic:

Love the helmet design on this suit... :clap

Unused design cues from previous films always seem to find a way of appearing further down the line...

Nope, it will be diecast and cost $349.99

I think that all main Iron Man suits (that Tony Stark used personally in any movie and that had a screen time of more than two seconds) from here on will be diecast.

I am not so sure. The only reason the new stuff is DC is becuase the base parts are. (43 was dc becuase 42 was..WM mk2 is becuase IP was ) Diecast has not taken off. Most people would prefer it cheaper then DC.

I think the diecast IM figures are HUGE improvements over the plastic ones- the feel, weight and appearance make me happy!

I enjoy them. But 99.9% of the time they just sit on a shelf. So the weight means nothing. As for the rest...the details and look can be achieved equally with DC and plastic. The new ones look better becuase they are, well, new. If they made a mk43 in plastic it would look as good.

But what if the mk43 was 249 instead of 349? Or 275 instead. Plastic is cheaper to make.

True- but I like to lift them up often and say WOW this is an IRON man!:rotfl
Feels like I am getting 300 dollars worth of figure as well

I agree, and plastic seems to offer more display options, too.

Honestly, I can't see much difference, visually, between plastic and diecast when looking at these on a shelf. Plastic, when done well, actually looks very metallic to me.

Exactly and plastic offers flight poses... I would not be bothered at all of this was plastic especially if it came with a dynamic flight base like Falcon.

If you did see a difference, then they would be doing a bad job, since you can see the difference.

Since you can't, diecast isn't necessary. But people don't want to hear that for a figure they paid a lot more for than for a completely plastic figure.
