First time we've seen him in conjunction with the rest of the HT Star Wars figures.

Since he's smaller than the Sideshow figure, I assumed he'd be about right scale. Surprised how big he still is. But... it will do.

I would probably be a bit perturbed if Yoda was any smaller. I understand the issues with scale and whatnot, but at a certain point, you don't want a teeny piece of plastic for $200.

I'm not sure if Howard's thought process was to make him slightly bigger to avoid any issues with perceived value, but I think it's good the way it is.

Robe looks decent, in fact pretty darn good, maybe one more pass could nail it. congrats. I will be performing water treatment on the robe the day it arrives, which should be Wednesday. And how did you get Leia's dress so non-sucky?

Agreed, like i said i am not done with him yet. I was planning on one or two more water treatments and less leaning pose. I will have to mess with him more soon

LOL! That was tough one. I have pretty much use tape. I used double sided tape to tape the dress to certain parts of her legs, arms, back and hood to keep thing tight. In other words if you take the back part of her sleep pull it towards her back and tape it, it will create the illusion that the sleeves actully hang some what real. Same goes for the broom of the dress the legs. I tried to keep most of the tape on her back side since the material Is so thin.

Looks like he should be about to Luke's mid thigh.

These pics really highlight what's wrong with the figure imo. It's lacking the hunchback and the "I know what the **** I'm talking about" expression:lol

Has anyone else received those emails from Sideshow saying there card is going to be charged for Yoda on the 16th? I'm wondering what the actual shipping date will be. Like if my card is charged this Tuesday..is there any chance it will be mailed off next week?

Also, does anyone have a good suggestion on what kind of spray bottle to use on the water treatment thing? I'm thinking one of those little cylindrical misting bottles. I think you might be able to find them in the mini bottle travel area of a store. Like perhaps a mini spritz bottle of hairspray.

Mine is being charged Tuesday. Gonna put the closed eyes sculpt on a pike on the Game of Thrones shelf. Yoda wouldn't have made it past season one of that show, flipping pcp addict version or not.

So do you have any idea on when it will ship? Because I know after Sideshow charges you, it might take another 4 days for them to get around to mailing it. Not to mention the method they use is slow as molasses. I just want my Yoda by the week of the 22nd.

Just received a shipping notice from Sideshow.

The likeness is spot on. The only Hot Toys likeness I've hated thus far is Luke Skywalker. I can't wait to get this in hand.

I respect your point of view, but I don't agree with it - I'm not paying for plastic I'm paying for a correctly scaled figure. This is surely the most expensive way possible to buy plastic :)

To me the value comes from accuracy and the weight of plastic used is irrelevant. If anything I would feel like I'd got my money's worth more with a smaller figure because it's harder to manufacture something small.

SS are not the quickest in sending out orders and they use the slowest method of posting so who knows. I usually find that they charge then send about a week later.

Well that's a load of bullsh it! You shouldn't be charged for an item until it's in stock and ready to ship out. ..looks like I'll be getting mine sometime in June. Should be on batch 5 by then.

Got Yoda today! And of course he needed a photo with his student....

Still haven't quite decided if I prefer the open or closed eyes head though

Yes it is which is why I m not buying anymore from SS...at least once I get my points used up and receive my pre orders. They also overcharge $40 to ship to the UK but actually use a service that costs half of this thus they are making a huge profit from their shipping. Really poor show.

Other than one or two exceptions, my orders have always been shipped the day I get charged.

Yeah, if they're shipping from their US warehouse it seems it's normally charge and then ship that day or the next.
Not from my experience. I've had 15 items so far from SS in the last year and only 1 has shipped the next day from payment. The rest have shipped from either the US or HK 5-7 days after payment is made..then taken 10 days to get to the UK with a $40 charge.
