Nope, never like that. Hopefully your figure is good to go and didn't get too bounced around to cause any issues.

Has sideshow ever sent anyone else a figure like this before? Makes me feel uncomfortable like something is fishy about it...[/QUOTE]

Nope. Was the art box still sealed? They removed the shipper box obv so I'm wondering if they sent you a refurb.

Was the art box still sealed?

"sealed" is very subjective here. It had the plastic bag on it and that would be easy enough to take on and off as well as a long clear plastic strip that wraps around the box from top to bottom. That also is easy to remove and put back, it kind of sticks to itself without being sticky.

I hope not, I'm not sure I want one that was rejected by someone else. I'm inspecting it now, but I don't have a lot of confidence that there isn't something wrong with it I might be missing.

Good points. There's no reason I can think of that the HT shipper should have been opened and this removed, then put into a larger box and shipped to you(?).

If you have the money, I would order another, then return the first one after you make sure the second one is sealed.

There's no reason to remove it from the shipper, I might be wrong but seems to me you got someone else's return.

I have gotten figures shipped liked that from BBTS. No damaged just weird.

Me too . I made a huge stink about it with bbts . Even sideshow did it to me once in a mark vii. It came re-sealed, no tape on bag and the plastic on the figure missing .

Even when I've purchased two figures at once and they ship them together in a large box, each one is individually boxed in its own shipper. That's bizarre.

Mine arrived like that too but was in perfect condition. I personally didn't think much of it beyond maybe the shipper got damaged in the warehouse and because I had a packout it made sense to ship one without a shipper.

I don't know if I'd accept a new HT fig without the brown shipper unless the listing specifically mentioned it was missing for a good reason

something smells fishy

I recently bought Coulson from a board member that didn't come with a shipper, but I was fine knowing about it. It's different when you buy a new figure... I'd return it until I got a sealed box.
