Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the Mk. XLVII also scheduled to be released after the Mk. VI? I know that it’s a simple repaint but it was at STGCC as well.

That's right! I keep forgetting about the Mk47. Scheduled for Q1 I believe.

And thanks for posting all the pictures from STGCC in their respective figure threads. I (and others as well, I imagine) really appreciate you taking the time to upload all of those :duff

It is scheduled for the 4th qtr so HT has until Dec 31st to release it before it is delayed.
I think he is refrencing that Sideshow will email you before your final payment if it isn't ready to ship since they tack on the shipping to the final payment, in this case there is no way that final payment is happening in October so I also am anticipating the delay email from Sideshow

I just got my notice that my Daredevil pre-order will be preparing for shipping soon, and so I checked out all my pre-orders to see what I have coming after that and see that it is Iron Man Mark VI. Oct 2017 - Dec 2017. I almost forgot it, news on this figure has been really quiet. Makes me wonder if we are really going to get this in the 4thQ?

I hope we see some pictures of this figure soon. I've decided this is gonna be my representation of iron man in the Collection, it has a much more classic feel to it. Currently got the mk46 but I'm gonna sell it in favour of this

I'm almost positive that they went for the Iron Man 2 battle damage. Probably a way to appease fans who wanted an IM2 vs Avengers Mk6.

Sorry for the huge picture...

Don't forget, a lot of those battle damaged pieces are just being carried over from the original mark 6 release when it was all plastic. That figure had a switch out BD shoulder bell and a completely switched out arm. This is really just hot Toys just giving us parts already enginereed maybe to make fans happy/ make the package look good enough to sale for $360 vs the $180 it originally went for.

I do love the suit though/ and thought about getting my hands on it and maybe sale off my mark 43 but I can't seem to sale my 43 haha but that pic of mark 6 and warmachine well to me those are the definitive versions of those characters right there.

Maybe you're right, but this diecast figure looks to have different proportions and will be taller and bigger than the plastic iterations. I would assume that the concept for the bd pieces may remain the same, especially if they're going to re-create the IM2 bd, but the molds would have to be different to fit this specific diecast figure.

We haven't seen anything beyond the prototype but I expect this to be a significant upgrade to the plastic Mk6's.

If you bought the 1st version from sideshow, it was $235. If it had been $180 I would have bought two.

Mea culpa! :) $214.99 it was. Now I'm waiting for the link to the $180 version. :)
More importantly... Look at that price gap FOR LESS OF THE SAME FIGURE. Hot toys are crooks [emoji14] slap a fancy sticker on it and bump its price to current 1/6 figures from themselves. Lol we are suckers!

While I don't doubt HT likes money, in the intervening years since release, cost of production based on materials, wages, and lot sizes may have gone up, even though development for that particular version was a done deal.

Not being an apologist, just speculating.

I think you are correct. When gas prices in the US first hit $4 per gallon, the cost of textiles went up as well, and the logic was if oil goes up, other commodities go up. My only gripe is when the market corrected itself on oil, I didn't see a subequent decline in textiles. That's my only problem with this reasoning. However, I agree that is the story we would be told by manufacturers.
