Sorry guys but what the deal with the trianlgle chest and circular chest? I caught the tail end of the discussion there.

I don't think we know. From what little I have seen from the trailers it looks like he makes another upgrade to the RT in his chest and that the new one is triangular.

As far as the comics go, he doesn't have a glowy thing stuck in his chest in the comics. The circle and triangle are just different looks he's had.

you know, i was re-considering my purchase of this fig.

sure it looks nice...but slimmer chest and non straight legs is what's killing me.

I think i'm just gonna skip this one like i did with the first 3 mks.

hopefully, the MKVI won't disappoint. I know WM looks friggin kickass and i'll be gettin that one. As for the MKIV...basically, swing and a miss.

dammit...i have a bad feeling that HT is gonna end up doing a DX of the MKIV....i remember reading something here saying that there will be a DX of one of the marks.

I opted for the Triangle on my DVD cover as he had it on the movie posters.
Not that it matters too much.

the MK6 is the exact same suit with different designs, so if your bothered by the legs on the mk4 then you wont want the mk6

well, fine then, if they keep the legs curved, whatever...BUT, the chest NEEDS to be a little bit beefier.

thin worked for TDK...not for iron man.

EDIT:....you know, i just looked at some pics from the movie. the MKIV does look a bit slimmer compared to the MKIII...

ALSO, the legs also look more curved as well.

Unless somone here that posts in the forums works for Hot Toys, we dont know what will be DX, so take everyones posts as just speculation.

What he's referring to was an article where HT stated that the Battle Damaged Mark III was originally going to be a DX figure. This was before MJ was announced as DX 03. HT never stated exactly why they decided to scrap that idea and just release the BD Mark III as a regular MMS release.

I thought Hot Toys stated that doing PERS eyes for tony would make the manufacturing take too long and it would push it back so it would come out right during the release of all the Iron Man 2 figures. So they dropped the PERS and just made it a noraml MM.

there would be no need for pers for an ironman dx. it just needs a remote control switch for the lights. someone here mentioned that and i thought that was a cool idea.

Not really a "need" but PERS could've been implemented for the stand alone Tony Stark head. That's what HT was talking about.

This is probably banging my head against a wall but there's nothing to "fix" with the curve of the legs. The natural curves the legs have are both accurate to the film suit and accurate to the way a human's leg curves. The mkIII's legs are very unnatural in that respect. They look like sticks, but because they're thin but because from the front they have no curve.
