i was sweating a little getting the hand flaps to "snap" back on. the plastic there is really thin. a little force and it popped back in. then I put the hand on. I may be getting a new left arm (as its faded) but need to hear back from sideshow first.

I bought that HS off of toy anxiety a while ago and it never really looked decent on BD mark 3, so this body may work!

I get my figure lst week and I see the arms look the paint is fading... the paint is like it that?? please some help!! :(

I just got mines in today. I just wish the gray parts would look more silver in color but over all he looks great!

has someone tried this look before? I think it looks kinda neat. At least for a few days..

nice pic and great combination.

Just got my Mark V from Toys2 yesterday. It was an extra treat because it didn't have any problems. My Mech Test had bad wiring, my Mark IV had a bunch of paint issue all down the left side, and my Mark VI had problems with the faceplates fitting. This is the first Iron Man I've got to unbox and enjoy right away, heh.

entire body or just arm?

body and arm

had some paint problems on the body, loose wrist guard on the standard arm and broken wrist on the BD arm :( but getting a replacement so :yess:

Y'know although i can get certain figures cheaper in the UK, i commend SSC for their faultless refunds or replacements service, i'm gonna be keeping more business with them than i was going to.

Curious: What happens to the parts to be replaced.. "Sledge hammered" or Shipped back. If you retain the old parts, you can build a 2nd Mk. V relatively easily. (2 for 1 price) ... or sell the parts and get a "big" portion of cash back

loose wrist guard and even broken wrist (I suppose are easy user DYI correctable).

I suppose all these replacing has an end user effect... as in: SSC's prices have shot up (greatly).

Is only my figure?? please some help before I need to know before I called CSC. :(

I've Mk. V 9 arms... I dont't see any changes.. probably bad QC/bad Weathering/Bad seal/wax gloss coat.

Note the weathering is sprayed above the glossy surface than cause a dull effect.

p.s. There are at least 2 variant sets of hand guards. L1, R1 and L, R

I've changed my opinion of this figure, I said I was going to sell it, but now I'm going to keep it. It has really grown on me.

It really is a beautiful figure.

Doughnut shot. Not film accurate, but Iron Man is pretty borderline as far as an interest. The Joss factor sealed the deal as far as wanting all the main Avengers in some form.

I splurged on the Mark IV head for both some Robert Downey, Jr. love and a more light-hearted display with the doughnuts.

Besides I took perverse pleasure in validating this little claim from a day or so ago:

Exactly...only girls care about the guy behind the mask lol...

It is true I would display ever character with their mask off if possible. I did not buy Spider-man solely because there was no Tobey Maguire head included.

That faded look occurred on my first figure, too. It was on the left bicep and the colors was a pinkish hue and dull.

The weathering effect that HT had, would have made it a darker red because of the black mist and glossy.

If you're seeing the pinkish and dull effect, that's a paint defect. I had mine replaced and it was cool with CSC. I posted a picture of mine a week and a half ago.

here it is: The other three are what the weathering should look like, and the upper left bicep is the defect.
