That faded look occurred on my first figure, too. It was on the left bicep and the colors was a pinkish hue and dull.

The weathering effect that HT had, would have made it a darker red because of the black mist and glossy.

If you're seeing the pinkish and dull effect, that's a paint defect. I had mine replaced and it was cool with CSC. I posted a picture of mine a week and a half ago.

here it is: The other three are what the weathering should look like, and the upper left bicep is the defect.

i just opened both of my mark V's and they both have the same problem on the left arm. hopefully i can get them replaced.

just to clarify: only the left bicep, which was pink in color, was the actual defect on my figure. The other circled ones were just the paint application that HT did to give it that slightly worn look. But if yours is showing that faded pink figure, it looked like HT forgot to apply the final gloss layer on it.

yup. both of mine don't have the gloss on the left bicep.

Has anyone tried adding gloss themselves? Would it not look as good?

You could do that easily enough, but it doesn't look out of place the way it is.

I decide to wait and instead get the 2nd batch from our supplier w/c will be ship this late Nov. or early Dec. Might get lucky to avoid those issues on his arms by then.

Must be held up by your postal system... I've been using Loontentoys for years and he usually sends stuff the same day and everything arrives in 7 days or less.

Yeah, I get a lot of stuff from him, for several years as well. he used to EMS everything but not recently. He is a really cool dealer but one of the reasons I get stuff from him is to get it quickly. Last few sets have been a little sporadic, he ships them quickly but some of them seem to take forever to get here. Others not. It's strange. As soon as they enter the country they are trackable on our local postage system. They seem to be going round the world before getting to me.

Mine is just like that too. Just got it last night. Doesn't bother me even if it isn't supposed to be like that.

Just received this figure and I am completely blown away by what HT has done....it is truly a masterpiece!! Obviously those who don't complain about this figure either do not own them at all, or are simply too picky. I just can't find anything wrong with this figure, even proportion-wise. This figure is downright gorgeous and tops even the Mark VI I say. Glad I didn't pass up on this!

Would you guys say this is weathering or should i ask for a replacement?

And is anyone else having problems with the small removable chest piece? Mine seems to come off easily when i push down on it with just a little bit of force.
