uhhh Spidey one of their best boxes on one of their LOWER priced figures so not sure cost is passed down, plus MK V is a VERY expensive $200+ figure so we should get a fantastic package!

Are you familiar with the Ironman I,II,III and battle damage M3 boxes? ..those were greatly designed and well made boxes, the new ones are very cheap looking imo, hot toys are still capable of making nice boxes i wish they kept it it for the Ironman figures.

Yes Cal I'm familiar with all except the Mark 1.

I don't mind the new boxes :dunno but in the end I'm with dedguy on this, I'd rather pay for quality in the figure & accessories and not packaging since it ends up in storage anyway.

IM cost a lot more to make with intricate armor + LED light up parts than Spidey in his pajama suit.

As much as i'd love a new box design for the Mark V i'm pretty sure it will be just the same style as the others ..but who knows we got a very different box with the mech test figure,it did not share the chest piece theme of the figures before it, and this Mark V has the whole suitcase story behind it ..if were lucky we might get a suitcase themed box! ..but i doubt that very much.

That is a very cool idea- suitcase theme- I woudn't be surprised if you were right about that!!!!!:yess:

Exactly. In fact it's possible that the more elaborate box on Spidey was possible because Spidey was a much cheaper figure to produce, and because it's an older (maybe lower demand?) license the license was less as well.

Spidey is a very very simple figure though. No hyper realistic human head, and he's just a guy in a spandex suit. As opposed to the hundreds of molds needed to make one of the Iron Man suits.

No matter what, the cost of packaging is a cost and a higher cost of packaging means a higher product cost. So yeah, give me a plain brown box. I don't care.

Officially released in HK? You sour apples can go be sad about the cardboard, I'm thrilled this is finally being released! :yess::yess::yess:

Hot Toys seems to always make minor changes, and sometimes large changes between the last pictures we have seen from them and the finally released product.

how do you know its out then?

if a hot toys is released on the other side of the world, and no one is there to photograph it... did it really happen?

I spoke to someone in HK who went by that famous toy store thingie that's associated with HT. Don't ever doubt me.
