how do they look?

It didn't really make much of a difference. The foam padding ended up well within the 'beet'. Through futzing persistance and posing I have managed to work the kink out.

Everybody's talking bout those kinky boots!

Meanwhile, at the Battle Station Apartment 61....

Awesome shot Rubio!

Was just curious, are people here who missed out on the double pack and are buying the figures individually going to get the EX with the stormtrooper belt & rifle for the extra $5 or just the standard version?

This is exactly what I did. Ordered the Han Ex today and will put my order in for Chewy later in the week. I wanted them separate regardless so if a Bespin Han comes out, ANH Han will more likely be sold to fund it.

The double pack is still available at BBTS.

Okay...so with some time on my hands this weekend, I decided that I couldn't leave my faulty boot alone.

With the expose copper wire and the lifted rear seam spoiling the look of my figure, I attempted a repair of sorts.

First up, I lifted the seam flap away from the boot up til about half way and identified a join underneath where, it seems, the copper wire is supposed to sit. With a pair thin pliers I gently stretched out the wire and seated as much of it into the join as I could. There was about 3mm of overhang at the bottom but I was able to tuck this into the bottom seam. Then, once I was satisfied that the wire was seated as flatly as possible, I used a puece of garden sprinkler tubing to flatten out the pleather, then I applied glue to the underside of the rear seam flap. I did this in stages so that I could minimize the bleeding of the glue. The following photos suggest that I did a terrible job but I zoomed in quite a bit to get these shots.

The end result is that I can't even see the repair work. An unexpected benefit of this is that the glue has actually straightened out the boot so that it no longer has that maddening ankle kink at the bottom.

I'll play around with the shaping of the boot but, overall, I'm really pleased with the result.
