It may have been in there as an Easter egg (and like Prime Clone says, it's so far away it's not possible to positively identify it

It had a totally different paint job and I think even Hasbro was confused. But they called it the Millennium Falcon and a few fanzines called it that.

it looked bigger on the big screen and I remember it just popping off the screen.
Just that music alone brings a bad taste to my mouth.
I don't see the point in having that in ep3, I mean han solo wasn't even born yet so its not really the falcon to me.

Not to geek out, but Han is 10 years older than Luke and Leia. He's 29 while they're 19 in ANH, so Han was 10 years old during RotS.

There's actually a novel called "Millenium Falcon" by James luceno which details the Falcon's "life" from construction through various owners, up to when Han bought it. Its pretty good actually.

And also completely redundant now that Disney have thrown out the Expanded Universe as canon. Makes me sad.
Disney will throw out the EU but somehow work in a Pinocchio theme into Star Wars.
