Whilst not the actual Chewbacca , I think this gives a good idea of the shape of his muzzle.

and also a good pic of the Tussauds Chewbacca that I'll be using to futz mine.

Th exaggerated and accentuated lips don't help. They're just a bit too well defined.

To be honest there are so many Chewbacca looks that even Star Wars doesn't get it right. Look at ROTS and beautiful young looking in TFA

I showed this off before but this is a custom sculpt of chewie I mad almost 5 years ago. I might even use it on the HT version if the head sculpt is not up to par. I still need to work on the lip color if I can find the right colors to work with. but this is where it`s at as of right now

nothing. I tried to do what stuart freeborn did. I cut out a face plate template. I then used an old Hasbro imperial officer head and cut out his face and his face was my template .I then removed the eyes. then I used the Hasbro furry chewie and cut out the ugly face and used the part like a wig. then the hardest part was shaping the bridge of the nose and the muzzle which I guess HT did wrong. I then cut small pieces of hair from the Hasbro Chewbacca and starting laying them down one piece at a time to I got it how it looked on the original tried to anyways. and that`s how I got the results. the head is hollow inside like a mask I could put it over a head of my choice and the jaw moves as well

Wow - a lot of work but it came out great! Love that the jaw moves - some nice display options.

yeah you not kidding I put a lot of work into it. we had a love hate relationship throw out. because I wanted it to be perfect. but we all know how that makes customizers crazy at times.

Impressive! Really seems a 1:1 head! Great work on it! I think than only a big love for star wars and his character can move a man into a so complicate work! Great! Great!

thanks it was a long haul to get him there. I have since tweaked him some more since the last time I took that picture.
