Yep he's getting there. Convinced he can still look even better.

Agreed. Just goes to show that whoever does the product photography and show displays has NO idea what they're doing.

Compare Para's latest shots with the garbage shown in the MF cockpit or at AniCon.

Looks like there going to be a lot of time taken playing with the hair to get it right. Which equals to getting your money's worth on this figures. Latest pics looks brilliant!

French is my native language unlike English so I'll try to do my best to explain it but he said that the hair is "flat" when it comes out of the factory. You need to pull it back a bit to give it some "volume" so that it is not "stuck against the face".

He also said there was not enough black on the eyes so he used a black pen to do it (he said you cannot really see it in the video unfortunately). He said the other problem with the eyes that cannot be fixed in his opinion is that they are too close, they should be further apart.

You summed it up perfectly. Basically, he's saying Chewy might have you worried when taking him out of the box but it's not taking much to make him a great rendition of the character after some combing. Trick there is to slowly and delicately give some volume to Chewy's face hair on his cheeks and chin but he's saying any collector, even the less gifted shoud be able to achieve that with a little patience.

French must be different in France than it is in Quebec, what we're taught in school here. I understood him saying that it was very difficult to achieve even marginal results and all but the most talented and gifted individuals would fail miserably and be left with something that looks like what the cat coughed up. Pretty sure he then encouraged people to stay away from this release and that everyone will be best served by waiting for the next Chewbacca version.

Next he whispered something about steep discounts due to lack of sales, but I think that might only have been to me. ;)

Shhhh, let's keep quiet about this figure being any good - I need that 40% coupon. :yess:

Dammit Paramore, those are not the pictures my wallet needed to see.

Could my faith be restored? :horror

HT should employ you to take their pictures Para, you've done better with Chewy than any of the Hong Kong bloggers.

So how hard was it to pry the fur from his chin and both sides of his checks

From the review, it says it took some time to gradually "unglue" fur from the face. It doesn't give any step by step instruction beside gently combing the fur so it starts adding some volume to it.
