Dying to see a Boba Fett from HT. It's as though all those MMS numbers are leading to the ultimate badass.

Boba Fett isn't a bad ass. He flew right into a giant ***** in the ground, screaming like a little girl.

Hopefully Disney fixes that...........I don't care even if its something cheesey like we saw a Fett decoy die or something. Even as a 13 year old kid back when ROTJ hit, my mouth dropped when Fett died, which then resulted in a burp joke!

Yeah I could see it being done even as a Toy Fair exclusive of some sort. I would love it. I missed out on the Sideshow set and have regretted it ever since.

You know they'll definitely make these. THe question is, do I sell my sideshow ones while I can still get an insane price for these on Ebay to fund the Hot Toy ones??

I wish Disney would treat the lame death + burp as canon for Boba, because that's awesome to create this cool, silent bad-ass who dies through comedic means like a ***** :lol But they obviously won't because he's a cash cow. Weren't there already rumors of a Boba Fett standalone movie?

I hope they do a two pack like they did with the Chitauri Warrior set. I would love two troopers. Lets face it, I will likely consider pretty much anything Hot Toys will throw at me when it comes to Star Wars.

That would be great. Yeah I've been imagining how insane this line could (and will) become. So excited.

That's the question a lot of us are asking... I think certain figures are safe like Tusken Raiders, or Ki Adi Mundi. But I'd think any of the major characters in any incarnation are fair game and it may be smart to unload now rather than wait for the bottom to fall out.

I'd say early on these previous Sideshow figures are at the most risk:
ANH:
Farmboy Luke
Princess Leia
Obi Wan Kenobi
Vader (eventually)
Stormtrooper (when it happens, we'll also see sandtroopers)

ESB
Bespin Han
Boba Fett
Vader (either ESB or ROTJ)

ROTJ
Jedi Luke

PT
ROTS Anakin
ROTS Kenobi
Darth Maul

Later on I could some others getting the treatment as well such as Yoda, The Emperor, Lando and the clones. But honestly I think those are all pretty good as-is so the need isn't there and they're fairly recent. I also think HT will stay away from Hoth and the droids for a good long while as the market is good on those, but I would not be surprised if they take a crack at them in 5 years or so.

I think figures like IG-88, Gamorrean Guards, Nik Sant, etc. are safe and will never be released by HT.

I agree, I have a feeling that Hot Toys is going to hit the ANH line hard, Luke and Leia cannot be too far behind.

^^- Well advised. I'd definitely dump Fett, now, as he's still going for a good price on e.Bay. I'm going to hold on to Vader, come what may, but if one has any qualms with the fig, I'd cut the price by $25 - $50 below retail and get rid of him, too. Supposing HT comes out w/an ESB/ROTJ Vader, it'll be like Gamble's grandma -- won't be able to get a nickel for it.

I don't think Boba will be real soon, I'd say earlier than most, but probably closer to the tail end of the HT line since we've recently had 2 other high-end versions; the ESB from Sideshow and ROTJ from Medicom. I think they'll wait.

If I get DX07 Luke, should I get SS Vader? He's nice but I'm not sure if HT will do an ESB/ROTJ Vader

If they release one Vader, they'll release another as well... he's too popular not to cash in on releasing him more than once. But if I were a betting man, I'd think HT will go for ESB first since neither Medicom or Sideshow has done a ESB specific version.

That'd be my guess... they are older, not as well made, but certainly the most iconic.

I wouldn't hesitate to get a Farmboy Luke. I sold my ANH centered sideshow figs a long time ago.

I'm not only happy for me but all you other people that wanted a real fur Chewie. I contemplated on having someone do a commissioned job but I didn't want to spend a at the least a couple grand on it. It's been 24 hours since I found out and I'm still excited.
